Prominent Orange County Families United in Lutheran Church Service
An exquisite gown of formal white satin and imported chantilly lace in period style was chosen by Miss Sue Lael Hynds, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Hynds of Santa Ana, when she said her marriage vows Thursday at the altar of Zion Lutheran church in Anaheim with William Thomas Henning, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Henning of this city.
Evening services were read by the Rev. E. H. Pflug. Clusters of pink tinted magnolia leaves tied with pink net were fastened to tall white candelabras which formed a path to the altar. A tall white wedding candle burned throughout the ceremony.
The lovely bride approached the altar on the arm of her father. A heart shaped Stuart cap and veil with hand clipped chantilly lace touched with seed pearls fashioned her bridal veil and she carried white orchids, pink shattered carnations and lillies of the valley.
Maid of honor, Miss Marie McCollum, wore a gown of blush pink satin and nylon with a bouffant skirt and a matching pink net pic-
Bridesmaid, Miss Peggy Vernon wore pink moiré with a pink pique hat and carried a silver belt filled with pink shattered carnations and greenery. Miss Helena McNeil and Miss Shirley Henning as bridesmaids, were dressed ideally.

Games were in the mood of the evening with prizes awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Marion Harris, Mrs. James Messnard and Cecil Bernard.
Dressed in grass skirts with hibiscus in their hair, Don Bown, Dutz Hilbers and Avon Carlson presented a rendition of Spike Jones' "Hawaiian War Chant."
Typical island food served was hot pork on bread, steamed rice with gravy, tossed salad, ice cream topped with pineapple and coffee.
To climax the evening's activities, Betty Ulrich was presented in four Hawaiian dances.
