The picture looks across the recently arrived laundry bundles toward the finishing section. At the left, are the warm air tumblers which dry the clothing coming from the washing machines. At the right is the ironer which irons sheets, towels, and other flat work. In the left rear of the picture is the shirt section where presses shirts and folds them for your dress drawer. Not shown in the picture are the room, which would be at the left foreground, the photograph, and the marking-in section which is out of the photograph at the right which receives the laundry from the router and front receiving counter. Center St., will hold open house Tuesday, March 4. Everyone is invited to visit the plant from 9 p.m., to inspect the added facilities. A feature of the open house will be a drawing for several free $10 orders for laundry or dry cleaning service. Any adult visiting the plant tomorrow may enter the contest without cost or obligation. Work on the improvements started last August. Completion of the work gives a total of 6500 square feet of floor space. It is announced that Mrs. Baird Ryan, owner of the expansion program, the firm is now able to offer a brand new feature on shirt service if requested. The Ryans acquired the business in October of 1946. They rent their home at 706 Grafton in Anaheim and have two daughters, 19, a junior in Anaheim Union High school and Barry freshmen. Three trucks are in operation to serve the needs of their customers. "We decided to hold an open house Tuesday in order to quaint the public with what have to offer them, Earl."
