Social and Club Activities Pat Terrebonne — 2206 Marjorie Royer-John Gulick Say Vows At Zion Lutheran Church Saturday Varying shades of green worn by her bridesmaids were in pretty contrast to the satin and lace gown chosen by Miss Marjorie Royer for her wedding Saturday to John Gulick of Santa Ana. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Myrell O. Royer of E. Sycamore St. was given in marriage by her father at the altar of Zion Lutheran church. Double ring rites were read by the Rev. Edwin Pflug. Soft scalloping detailed the neckline of her long sleeved satin gown and a scallop tunic effect was created on the lace skirt. Her veil of nylon net fell from a satin band covered with pearls and she carried a bouquet of white carnations centering a cluster of red roses. Mald of honor, Miss Joan Royer, wore lime green taffeta with a detailed neckline and a wide black velvet sash. Her crescent bouquet was fashioned of talisman roses. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Chester Gulick of Santa Ana and Miss Pat Miller of Chicago who wore turquoise and sea green gowns respectively and carried crescent bouquets of pink carnations. Donald Langton of Santa Ana was best man and ushers were Chester Gulick, brother of the bridegroom; Gene Krug of Anaheim, Charles Cornell of Anaheim accessories and a corsage of red roses. Mrs. Gulick wore a navy blue wool suit with matching accessories and a corsage of roses. An extensive trip including Carlsbad Caverns, was planned by the couple when they left on a honeymoon trip. Their future address will be 1401 W. 12th St., Santa Ana. The new Mrs. Gulick was graduated from Willoughby, Ohio, high school and is employed at Bank of America in Fullerton. Her busband, son of Mrs. Gladys Gulick of Santa Ana, is a graduate of Santa Ana schools and was recently discharged from the Navy. Pretty Shower Honors Matron The quaint ranch-type home of the Merton Landweers at 13931 Country Lane made a charming setting for a surprise layette shower on Thursday evening when Mrs. Landweer feted her neighbor, Mrs. Keith White. Gayly wrapped packages were piled high on a low table before an open fire and guests quickly entered the party mood as a warm fire dispelled the chill of the foggy night. The complete surprise of the honoree was obvious. The group enjoyed appropriate IKETTES PRESENT FILM to the range county—Mrs. Frank Wick, ter, and Mrs. William Wick, see the Anaheim Ikettes, are discu "Nature's Engineers," with Linda County Superintendent of School gift to the County Schools Audition from the Anaheim Ikettes ready for circulation to the sch county. A white aisle runner marked the path to the altar where large baskets of white flowers and candelabra were used in decorating the church. Soloist, Kenneth Akin, sang "Because," "Oh Promise Me," and "The Lord's Prayer" accompanied by Mrs. Walter Kempin at the organ. Zion Lutheran Parish Hall was the setting for the evening reception served by the Dorcas Society of the church. A four tiered white wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom centered the bride’s table and was flanked by white candles and bouquets of white carnations. Mrs. Vearl Royer, aunt of the bride, passed the guest book. Mrs. Royer received guests in a green gabardine suit with black shower on Thursday evening when Mrs. Landweer feted her neighbor, Mrs. Keith White. Gayly wrapped packages were piled high on a low table before an open fire and guests quickly entered the party mood as a warm fire dispelled the chill of the foggy night.
