The Young People's Fellowship, directed by Mr. and Mrs. Joe Thompson, presented dramatically "The Story of the Other Wise Man" by Henry Van Dyke, following the evensong service. Ronald Snowden took the part of Artaban; Weston Warwick was the poor Traveller; John Phelps the Roman Soldier; Frank Stoufer was one of the Zoroastrian Priests; Pearl Stoufer was the Mother whose child Artaban saved and Alexander Matouk was the slave girl whose ransom he purchased. Mrs. Joe Thompson was the narrator, Mr. Joe Thompson directed the lights, Mrs. Foster Warwick was in charge of costumes and staging. Special music was one anthem, "The Heavens Are Declaring" by Beethoven, directed by Mrs. Juanita Ross and accompanied by Miss Hazel Erickson at the organ. "Beside Still Waters" by Hamblen was sung by Mrs. Earl Ryan just before the last scene of the story of "The Other Wise Man," and portrayed beautifully Artaban's firm faith which never wavered through 30 years of discouragement. With a deep sense of reverence the young people portrayed the fourth wise man's long effort to meet the Christ and his final joy when he heard the words, "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the lee my brethren, ye have me."
