New Members Honored by Y Advisory Board at Luncheon in Schmid Home
YWCA Woman's Advisory committee held its December meeting at the lovely ranch home of Mrs. Alice Schmid on S. East st. It was the annual luncheon honoring the new members, who this year are Mrs. Marion Fort, Mrs. Willard Olding and Mrs. Walter Taylor. The delightful luncheon was hosted by Mrs. Everett Cone, Mrs. A. D. Smith, Mrs. Llewellyn and Mrs. Alice Schnid.
The business meeting was opened by Mrs. Al Casebeer giving devotions.
Plans for the Tri-Hi-Y and Hi-Y spring dance were reported with the date set for March 8.
Ways and means for expenses to send the delegates to Sacramento for the Youth and Government conferences will be announced later.
Altar Society Installation
Installation of new officers for St. Boniface Altar society was preceded by a luncheon Friday with Mrs. Ernest Ganahl, Mrs.
Nan Moore spoke of the plans to start the Jr. HI program in the near future.
Those present beside the above-mentioned were: Mrs. Frank Kellogg, president; Harwood Larson, Al Casebeer, Mrs. H. Wood, Chas. Pannier, Richard Ryan, Orville Thomason, George Kohlenberger, Burt Kirchman, and Nan Moore, girl's work secretary.
Altrusa Enjoys Christmas Party
Members of Anaheim Altrusa club gathered at the home of their president, Pearl Wagner on N. Clementine st. last night for a Christmas party.
Christmas decorations and lighted candles lent a restive touch to the evening. Entertainment included games and a Christmas story read by Carrie Lou Sutherland.
During the short business meeting plans were made for the February tea. Next meeting will be held in January.
Student Groups At Fullerton in Christmas Work
In the traditional spirit of compassion of Christmas, student organizations at Fullerton Junior college are adopting families, holding parties for hospital patients or engaging in other projects.
"Adopting" families, for whom baskets of food and small gifts are prepared, are the three women's service organizations, Kappa Lambda Sigma, Theta Nu Theta and Phi Alpha Omega; DiGamma Nu Alpha, the future nurses group; the Associated Men Students; the Hornet Knights, and the Associated Women Students, and Future Teachers club.
The nurses' club, DiGamma Nu Alpha, is also holding an annual Christmas party to which gift will be brought for tuberculosis patients at the Orange County hospital. Joining with the women student associations at Orange Coast and Santa Ana colleges, the Fullerton Associated Women will give a party for patients at one of the Orange County hospitals.
Over 200 toys and other gifts for the Pacific Colony have been collected and wrapped by the Student Christian association. Another associated Women's activity in the purchasing of Christmas carol books for the music therapist at the Norwalk hospital.

Mrs. M. G. Kannard is new president; the first vice presidents are Mrs. Ganahl and Mrs. William Stehly; second vice, C. Barnard; third vice presidents are Mrs. Carl Palm, C. Jordon, Mrs. Don May, Mrs. John Larson, recording secretary, Mrs. P. Cromer; financial secretary, Mrs. J. Allec; treasurer, Mrs. Ude Bauer; and chaplain, the Rev. Father Patrick Pierce.
Mrs. William LeVecke was installing officer. The retiring and incoming presidents were presented with gifts from the organization. Mrs. J. W. Truxaw made the presentation.
Hospital Party Planned by VFW Auxiliary Members
Plans to entertain 35 patients at Long Beach Veterans hospital were formulated by members of Anaheim VFW Auxiliary at a meeting last night in the clubhouse. Gifts will be presented and entertainment has also been planned.
The Auxiliary and Post party on Thursday evening will feature entertainment by Val Moore's Hawaiian dancers and there will also be a Christmas tree and a visit from Santa Claus.
Refreshments were served by Linnie Campbell and Edna Wisser and committee.

Saturday Rites Set by Couple
Mr. and Mrs. Earle Fairchild,
709 N. Lemon, are announcing the engagement of their daughter,
Donna, to Leonard Jennings, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard C.
Jennings of 7062 E. Orange ave., Stanton.
The ceremony will take place at 7 o'clock Saturday night at the Stanton Community church with Rev. Charles A. White officiating.
The couple will make their home in Anaheim. Miss Fairchild is an employee of Kwikset Locks, Inc., and the bridegroom-to-be is with the Standard Oil Company in Inglewood. Both were students at the Anaheim Union high school.
The Stanton Lady Lions are having a Christmas party for members Wednesday night at 7 p.m., in the clubhouse. A potluck dinner will be followed by an exchange of gifts.

The Rev. Charles A. White of Stanton Community church was the speaker at the Magnolia P-TA meeting Friday evening, His theme was "Their Faith, Our Bulwark."
Mrs. Milton Taylor was chairman in charge of the spaghetti dinner. Mrs. Homer M. Kirk, president, welcomed the parents and guests and appointed Mrs. Roy Fierce and Charles A Bever to represent the Magnolia School District at the meeting with Paul Demaree tonight in Anaheim High School when a Junior High for the eight elementary schools in West Orange county will be discussed.
Miss Donna Flynn, 2nd grade teacher, sang "O Holy Night" and enceded with "I Wonder Where, I Wonder, accompanied by Mrs. Harold Smith, the cafeteria cook.
Betty Manning Betrothed to Orange Man
Mrs. Evelyn Manning of 10661 Lincoln ave., Anaheim, announces the engagement of her daughter, Betty, to Sgt. John Hutcherson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hutcherson of 631 Palmyra st., Orange.
No date has been set for the wedding.
Anaheim Assistance League will meet with Mrs. Harry Pearson for luncheon Thursday afternoon.

Plessed Mother of Guadalupe Procession Held
Thousands of Orange county families and clergy paid honor to Plessed Mother, Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the Mexi-people, in a procession and mass that started Sunday at 3 p.m. youth band from Our Lady of Talpa church, Los Angeles, opened the procession and proceeded to the Blessed Sacrament church in Westminster where solemn benediction of the Blessed Sacrament was sung. Monsignor Fidencio Parza, pastor of St. Anthony's church in Los Angeles, preached the sermon. Most. Rev. Joseph McGucken, auxiliary bishop of Los Angeles headed the procession.
Floats depicted the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe to Juan Dego 300 years ago, according to Rev. Robert Ross, S.S.C., pastor of the Blessed Sacrament church.
This ceremony has been conducted annually for the past 11 years at different churches in the county and was held in Santa Ana at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church in 1950.
