Northrop Is Listed on New York Exchange
HAWTHORNE—Northrop Aircraft, Inc., will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange beginning Dec. 10, company officials announce. Abbreviation identifying the firm on the Exchange will be NOC.
Northrop stock previously was traded on the New York Curb Exchange. It will continue to be listed on the Los Angeles Stock Exchange and the San Francisco Stock Exchange.
25-Cent Dividend
Lost Nov. 26 Northrop declared a dividend of 25 cents per share on common stock, payable from earnings during the first quarter of the 1951-52 fiscal year. This dividend is payable Dec. 22, 1951, to shareholders of reco. 4 on Dec. 10. Last previous dividend, also 25 cents, was paid on Sept. 14 this year to shareholders of record on Aug. 28.
In August, 1951, 125,000 shares were sold raising the total outstanding to 575,039 shares of common stock. Proceeds of the recent sale were carmarked for plant expansion and for capital to finance expanding business.

Northrop, producer of F-89 Scorpion all-wetter interceptor fighters for the U.S. Air Force, has a current backlog of more than $250,000,000. During fiscal 1950-51, the company's sales reached an all-time annual high of $89,947,629.17.

Death Notices
HERRMANN, ELIZABETH K—of 402 S. Melrose, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 1951, age 88 years. Survived by one daughter; nieces and nephews. Funeral services Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial in Anahaim Cemetery, Hilgenfeld Mortuary in charge.
VAN VERST, FRANK E—of Anaheim, died Friday, Dec. 7, 1951, age 74 years. Survived by his wife; four sons; two brothers; four grandchildren. Funeral services Wednesday at 2 p.m., in Melrose Abbey Mausoleum Chapel, Hilgenfeld Mortuary in charge.
No excess profits tax was payable on last year's earnings because of the loss carry-forward provisions of the Internal Revenue Code.
Net profit for the three months ending last Oct. 31 was $528,102 or 92 cents per share on the common stock outstanding. This was computed after subtracting $1,221,000 for estimated federal income and excess profits taxes.

In addition to F-89 production, Northrop activities include research in guided missiles, production of fire control instruments for the U.S. Ordnance Corps, and other research and development.
Latest Northrop development is the rocket-armed F-89D, newest model in the F-89 line. The F-89D was recently ordered into production by the U.S. Air Force.
Northrop was founded in 1939. Its major production during World War II was the P-61 night fighter, popularly known as the Black Widow, which saw service on both the European and Pacific fronts.
An expansion program now under way will provide the company with a total of 2,500,000 square feet of manufacturing space. Approximately 16,000 are now em-
