Dwight Eisenhower will let his name go before the voters in New Hampshire's presidential primary next March. Tobey's flat statement that the general won't disappoint his Republican backers by refusing to be represented in that contest came amid new attacks on the Truman administration. Senatbr Duff (R-Pa), a leader of the organized Eisenhower-for-president Republican group, declared "the Democrats must be thrown out" of office in the 1952 elections, and he added that Eisenhower is the man who can assure it. Duff set forth his views in a speech last night at an Eisenhower rally in Manchester, N.H. The Senator said that under the Democrats' rule in Washington "the tax scandals, the mink coats and the five percenters have made an aroma that has reached to heaven and it has to be changed." Criticism of the administration came also from a southern Democrat, Senator Byrd of Virginia, who joined with a Republican, Senator Taft of Ohio, in accusing President Truman of trying to take the country down the road. Some of them are covering the event, but none of them are handicapping the races or listing the entries. COMMENTARY—A 12-year-old Santa Ana girl was criminally assaulted in the bedroom of her home Monday night, according to a report from the sheriff's office. That such a thing could happen in Orange county without incensing the public is appalling to say the least. Now that Henry Ford McCracken is in San Quentin's death row, the public has apparently forgotten Patricia Jean Hull whose death should have caused Orange counties to see that no other child should have been the victim some man's lust. Something is wrong—radically wrong when the court calendars are crowded with cases of sex offenders. Lenency in these matters should not be tolerated. The good people of Orange county should see to it; that something is done about this unhealthy condition. NITECAPSULE—Some men are so conscientious that they'll bend over backwards to keep their noses to the grind stone. Monkey in Tree Causes Havoc In Beach Home MIAMI, Fla. (P)—A monkey in a tree in Ben Grenald's yard was what started the whole thing. Policeman John Ward was dancing around under the tree trying to lure the monkey down with bananas. It was such a funny sight, Grenald's wife, Selma, called him up at his drug store and told him to come home and see it. "It's a riot," she said. "You'll die." It was after all the neighborhood kids gathered around, whooping and laughing that the Grenald boy — two-year-old Douglas—got into the red ant hill. Grenald danced him in a over backwards to keep their noses to the grind stone.
