Mammoth Coliseum Fireworks Display For 4th Readied
Hailed as the greatest firework display in the long history of the American Legion, there will be eight gigantic pyrotechnic displays at the big July Fourth show at the Coliseum.
First of the elaborate display will be an aerial bombardment as a salute to our Korean veterans. The second will cover the entire Coliseum peristyle and is called the Golden Forest.
Flying Saucers will be Number Three, while the 4th display will be a famous figure skaters performing on a real ice rink with a curtain of fireworks as a backdrop.
Number five is a candle display on top the peristyle, with a waterfall added.
Sixty feet in the air will so Number six, a reproduction of the Elfel Tower. This will be the highest set for fireworks ever built. Legion's famed 40 et 8 trunks will wind around the base of the tower.
Niagara Falls, complete with steamboat, is seventh, while the grand finale will be the American Flag, the bust of George Washington and other master effects.
