The Chamber has or will get the information you desire. A number of firms have been relieved of filing an OPS pricing chart, if their annual gross volume was over $100,000. Rumors have it that this affects all stores, this is not the case. The official regulation covering this has not been received in ample supply for distribution but here is the coverage in a nut shell. Only the following retailers are given the pre-operative of pricing under CPR 7 or under the General Ceiling Price Regulation; housewares, notions, sporting goods, china, glassware, watches, jewelry and clocks. According to OPS these are the only firms relieved of the pricing chart. Copies of this regulation known as Amendment 5 to CPR 7 will be available for issue in a few days. In the meantime anyone desiring information may call the Chamber of Commerce. Services—Regulation 34 Any one offering services of any kind for which a charge is made is covered by this regulation and are required to file with the OPS by June 16. Latest available figures indicate the 3600 tons of American tobacco were imported in one month compared with 1100 tons from Greece and Turkey.
