Yungbluth Home Setting for Loan Association Party
On Sunday evening, April 15, Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Yungbluth entertained members of the board of directors and office personnel of Anaheim Building and Loan association, together with their husbands and wives, at a delightful buffet dinner. They were assisted by their daughter, Dorothy Ulvestad and her husband, Norvald Ulvestad, from San Marino.
Larry Ulvestad, the nine-year-old grandson of the Yungbluths added greatly to the enjoyment of the evening by musical numbers on the piano and Auto-harp.
He further demonstrated his versatility by doing a Hula dance to the tune of a "Little Grass Shack," in a Hula costume which he had for the most part made himself, in connection with his Cub Scout work at San Marino.
In games, prizes went to Clarris Wacker, Bob Fowler, and Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Collings.
Guests enjoying the hospitality of the Yungbluths were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schumacher, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Collings, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Fowler, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Prentice, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lemke, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Deane, Mrs. Clarris Wacker and Mrs. Ree Stanton.

Intermediate Scouts of troop No. 37 of Benjamin Franklin toured
the grounds of Knott's Berry Farm recently and then enjoyed a wonderful steak dinner. Last Saturday the natural setting of Irvine Park was selected to help the girls pass their bird and tree badges. Follgiving a picnic lunch, the girls experienced a wet boat ride, and then exercised their already tired muscles by riding the bikes. However scribe Brenda Barnett reports that if the leaders, Mrs. H. Fisher, Mrs. H. Schaffer, Mrs. W. W. Barnett, Mrs. L. Cheatum, and Mrs. F. Simonton are planning another trip, for next week the girls will be physically fit. The troop is also working on the housekeeping and nutrition badge with court of awards to be held sometime in the future.
