0-50 Bomber Down; One Man Missing
EL PASO, Tex. UP—A four engine B-50 bomber from Biggs Air Base here crashed and burned to death on the Fort Bliss military reservation.
One member of the 15-man crew was missing. The 14 other crewmen were injured but not seriously injured.
Biggs Field authorities said the giant airplane had just taken off from Biggs and was flying southwest at a low altitude. It apparently developed engine trouble.
The plane harrowly missed a building used as a school for Army children, tore away part of a fence and hit an unoccupied parked Army school bus and several autos. There were two buildings getting ready to serve the school. The wreckage immediately burst into flames and sent up a towering column of black smoke.

There are now eight justices of the peace and city judges in the proposed Anaheim-Fullerton municipal court district, as it would be officially designated. Only one could remain in office if the state judicial council's plan is adopted. That judge would be elected.
As supervisors, however, might increase the number of judgeships in the district.
Anaheim's Class A justice court and the city court would be absorbed by the new municipal court district.
Judge John Shea now presides over the justice court while Judge L. J. Bonnat presides over the Anaheim city court.

An upshot of the meetings was the formation of another committee to put a slate of candidates into the May 18 election. The committee felt more public interest should be aroused in school board elections.
The committee is headed by John Bovee, Members are Mrs. Roquet, the Rev. Philip Selfridge, Walter Taylor, and Mrs. Mary Middleton.
The "Citizens Committee" intends to carry on an active campaign for its candidates. An organization and outline of the campaign will be discussed at a meeting in the Elks club, Friday, at 1:45 p.m. The public is invited.

Musick Advises On Serial Numbers
Orange county Sheriff James Rick gave some advice to gling sheriff's deputies Monday that might well be used on-the-average home market.
It's a good idea," he said, "to down and file the registra-numbers of any pieces of property you own that has such a ber. Then, in case of burglary, will have positive identifica-ment of it and won't have unneces-touble retrieving it if it's needed up."
He has served as engineer for Standard Oil Co., and has been a construction engineer for Glas Aircraft. In addition to construction activities, Coonsicipates actively in the Ana-Elks, Lions, Izaak Walton rue, Associated Rifle club, the committee for Sea Scout Ship 280, is a member of the executive committee of the Anaheim Area industrial group.
His wife, Mrs. Marguerite, has been president of the Anaheim Business and Profession-omen's club, and is active in ultrusa club, Ikettes, Anaheim Chamber of Commerce and the associated Rifle club.
MALE & FEMALE—Dick Ryan is a forceful, aggressive little guy who looks something like Spencer Tracy. Not only is he a capable teacher, but as their representative he's doing a yoeman's job seeing to it that high school teachers get a pay boost. Some of them don't earn laborer's pay-checks. Honest!... Tom Henry drives by some of Fullerton's school grounds on the way to his Anaheim Cold Storage Plant in Fullerton. He oughta take a hint—Anaheim could also turf its school grounds... Howard Greening apparently won't be an Anaheimer much longer. The Norwalk business man came to town when he acquired Herb Leo's juice plant. The big man in the ten-gallon hat is a friend of the Future Farmers and he spends his money freely in the auction ring... Sgt. George McGlumphy goes back on active duty. His recruiting days are over...
FACTS & FIGURES — Facts and figures always have a strange fascination. There's something about statistics that make interesting reading. First quarter figures for Orange county building activities show:

NOTES — Mayor Charles A. Pearson is performing a real public service by working to preserve
Wife, Mrs. Marguerite has been president of the Anaheim Area Industrial group and Mrs. Coons have one water, a student at the Free school.
Faessel, who resides at 500 cementine, is in charge of the department of the A. Arena Company, Ltd. He has fourteen ranging in ages from months to 15 years. He is a president of the Kiwanis and has been active in other affairs.
NOTES — Mayor Charles A. Pearson is performing a real public service by working to preserve water rights. He is quoted as saying that "it is silly to have to pump from the local basin—already overdrawn — just to preserve these rights." It's too bad that tenure regulation makes it impossible for the school board to retain such outstanding teachers as Robert Routh and Don Buckner. It is just such job insecurity that makes a lot of potential teachers think twice before preparing for the teaching profession. Don Derr, Anaheim recreational director, is asking a budget of $22,410 for the next fiscal year. Art Shipkey praised the work of the recreation program which really gets into action now that it is spring.
NITECAPSULE—It takes some young people all night to say good night.

Supervisors Back Three New Bills
County supervisors yesterday went on record in support of three bills in the legislature relating to acquisition of beach parks and including one that provides for the acquisition and development of inland marinas with the aid of tide-land oil funds.
Another bill would change the 50-50 basis for financing the purchase of state parks by the state and county. It would provide that the county would pay only 25 percent of the cost.
