Bobby Reed Feted At Surprise Party A surprise party honored Bobby Reed of Los Alamitos Friday night when a group of friends met in the Cushing home on E. Ball rd., to extend birthday wishes. Games were enjoyed during the reunion of many friends. Gifts were presented to the guest of honor by host Dick Murray, prior to the serving of refreshments by hostess Jackie Cushing. Wilson's to Reside In Saudi Arabia Mrs. Gordon Wilson and her three sons, Wayne, Roger and Gordon, left by plane Monday evening for Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, to join Mr. Wilson who returned to his job with Arabian-American Oil company last month. He is beginning his second term of employment with the company. Mrs. Wilson expects to make her home there until her husband has completed his term of duty. Mr. Wilson is an air-conditioning engineer and has recently completed air-conditioning the King's palace in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Wilson's formerly made their home on N. Janss st., in this city. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lisle Wilson, 212 N. Philadelphia Street. Commenting on the exciting collection of costumes will be Mrs. Arthur May of Sana Ana, who is well known for her talented theatrical appearance in Orange county and her many delightful book reviews. Mrs. Oliver C. Lawson of Sana Ana, pianist, will provide an appropriate musical background. Tickets for the benefit affair will be available from Mmcs. Gordon Graves, Lester Van Tatenhove, Walter Ranney, Jack Triplett and K. G. Stewart, all of Sana Ana, and will be on sale at a special ticket booth to be placed in Rankin's, Santa Ana. The very capable Mrs. John Echows of Sana Ana has been chosen general chairman for the spring event to be assisted by Mmcs. Thomas Clar, hostess chairman; Jack Claborn, tables; Robert Wahlberg, special prizes; John Johnson, punch; Leon Lauderbach, Jr., tables prizes; Gordon Graves, tickets; William Heil, decoration; T. M. Sheppard, refreshments; and R.__D. Henry, publicity; all of Sana Ana. Allen Kouch, 143 Evelyn Drive, Lt. Commander in the Naval Reserve, has been recalled to active duty. Kouch will report to San Diego in the middle of March. Sharing the guest of honor role was Eddie Jahr who also celebrates his 14th birthday this month. Games were played during the afternoon with the hostesses, Mrs. Rouland and Mrs. Dwight Jahr serving refreshments of weiners, Hawaiian punch and a decorated "A Clean Car Always Runs Better" We Like to Clean Auto Glass! LOS ANGELES AT WATER ST. Open Forum At Garden Club Anaheim garden club meets in the home of Mrs. T. Earle Woodward, 330 S. Ohio st., recently with Mr. Hughes of Ortho products as guest speaker. Colored films were shown of fuchsias and camellias. Among the door prizes awarded were a rose spray kit and weed killer. Following an open forum discussion refreshments were served. Co-hostesses were Mrs. Enid Baker and Mrs. Fthel Schultz. Son of Former 'Y' Director Married Friday Of wide interest to their many friends here is news of the marriage of Bernard Jongewaard to a distant cousin, Florence Louise Jongerwaard. Bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Con Jongewaard. He was formerly "Y" director in this city before transferring to Inglewood. Attending the Friday evening rites in Inglewood First Presbyterian church were Mr. and Mrs. M. A, Gauer, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Payne and daughter, Teddy Lou, Mr. and Mrs. Walt Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Thomason, Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Bcebe, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. (Gazette photo by Bradley) Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dauser Hold Open House on Golden Wedding Anniversary When Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dauser of E. Commonwealth ave., celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary yesterday they enjoyed a complete family reunion with all of their children and grandchildren in attendance. Open house was held throughout the afternoon with approximately 150 friends dropping in to congratulate the beloved couple who have made their home this area for many years. The family home was decorated with arrangements of early spring flowers and the long buffet table carried out the gold and white theme in decorations. Candelabras flanked the large decorated cake. Mrs. Arthur Cannon and Mrs. Martha McKenna presided at the coffee urn, Mrs. J. C. Bonser of Anaheim and Mrs. Donald Harn of Downey, daughters of the honored couple, received guests at the door, and Judith Hand and Bonnie Sue Bonser, grandchildren, were invited to the candle party for their Rouland-Jahr celebration. She weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce. Mother is the former Suzanne Barnett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Barnett of 1626 E. Santa Ana st. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Braddock of this city. Both parents are formerly of Anaheim and resided here before moving to Hermosa Beach. They will remain in Anaheim for several days at the Barnett home In charge of the guest book. Other members of the family who attended were the Dauser's three sons, Cyril J. and wife of Fullerton, Clarence and family from Sacramento and Vincent of Fullerton.
