GOOD HUMOR MAN
LOSES IT AND DOUGH
LONG BEACH (IP)—The Good Humor man is in a lousy mood.
Bernard F. Bunke, 23, said three men hailed his ice cream truck. One asked if he had lemon. Bunke said no.
"Okay, I'll take vanilla and your dough," was the response, backed up by a gun.
Bunke said the loss totaled $53.
O'Kane's Opens With Merchants Fashion Show
Anaheim merchants today bid welcome to a new associate—O'Kane's Corset and Lingerie. O'Kane's made its grand debut in the city this morning at a newly remodeled and redecorated shop at 117 W. Center st.
Members of the staff of the new shop worked long and hard, said Manager Miss Mary O'Kane to ready the enterprise for the Anaheim Merchants Fall Fashion Show which gets underway at 7 tonight. The grand opening started today and will extend through tomorrow as well, Miss O'Kane said.

Korean War
(Continued From Page 1)
MacArthur was throwing his main counter-punch.
With warships slamming heavy shells into concealed red shore positions, the Marines landed on Wolmi island. It is connected to Inchon proper by a half-mile causeway.
Up Goes Flay
Carrier planes slammed rockets at the shore guns, too, but the Marines still were under heavy fire. But they planted the American flag on Wolmi's highest hill within 32 minutes after landing.
A general headquarters communique said the strongly-defended island was captured "with a minimum of casualties."
Associated Press correspondent Relman Morin with the forces reported brown pillars of smoke billowed into the overcast sky, sent up by the shells of the warships. Then a light rain fell.
Morin described the Marine landing as "a gem of military precision." He reported U. S. tanks were fighting less than 15 minutes after the first Leathernneck crossed the bombed-out beach.
General MacArthur told AP correspondent Russell Brines and other newsmen accompanying him that the amphibious attack might break the backbone of the Korean red army.
We extend best wishes to you both for many happy years in Anaheim

School Board
(Continued From Page 1)
Rearrangement was taken up by Clerk John Mary Jr., who suggested the possibility of pressing school bungalows into service. Mary said that two two-room bungalows could be utilized next fall and that in two years a third, making for a total of six classrooms, would be available if necessary.
The proposed Lincoln addition would release four classrooms for service.
Concluding the Lincoln addition discussion, Stabbert told the parents present that the board would do everything possible to avoid double sessions next year. "In view of the situation, we can't say no for sure," he said, "but we will try our best to eliminate the possibility."
Earlier in the meeting, board members moved to purchase a new half ton pick-up truck from Grant Musick. Musick's bid was $1405 net. Other bidders were Robert H. Boney, Leavitt Ford and McCoy Motors.
