AUTUMN Fashion Show By JOAN S. WHITE (Gazette Staff Writer) The 1950 fall season will be officially ushered into Anaheim amid a blaze of light on Friday evening, September 15th, when the second annual Anaheim Fall Fashion Opening gets underway. Eye catching young beauties on parade in fall's latest fashions, a superb collection of luscious new fabrics, the last word in home furnishings and gorgeous autumn color running riot through it all—these the tomorrow evening when Anaheim at their respective stores fro Last year the response as a community enterprise, chants are sponsoring it again The prime purpose of give the townsfolk an intima of fall merchandise available style follows no set rule th unique opportunity for the cl Pat Booth, 726 N. Anita and B Robertson are sisters, both of whom have attended FuJ.C. Anita, a member of the Anaheim Gazette staff, haeled non-professionally at both the Ambassador and Bi Hotels in Los Angeles. Mrs. Wesley Mendoza, chairman of the Welfation of Junior Ebell has also consented to model. Illinois st. Interest is achieved at the hipline with two soft pouffs at each side of the jacket, cut at an angle from the waistline. The skirt has been cut in the same line to fall in unpressed pleats at the hips. A soft rolling collar is complimented by narrow bands of black lace at the neckline. To complete her ensemble Miss Officer has chosen a wide brimmed hat in black suede cloth, the top of the brim in contrasting white with a band of silver piping at the edge and at the crown. Her shoulder strap bag is in matching suede cloth. A simple suit in beautiful Juilhard velveteen, newly belted for afternoon, is worn by Anita Robertson, 1265 E. Santa Ana st. Incidentally, Penney's manager Oscar Solter reminds me that Anaheim merchants have agreed to do business as usual on Friday, closing at 5:30 p.m. The stores will remain closed until 7:00 Friday evening when they will re-open with the spotlight on fall showings. Five models from as many Anaheim schools will show off to advantage the exciting new clothes at Lauretta Dress Shoppe. Models MarElina Burns, Jo Burdick, Anne Fabian, Imogene Larson and Barbara McDougal will be radiantly lovely in the autumn leaf shades of russet, rusty red, sharp yellow and brown as well as shades of coral, blackboard grey and blue. Their costumes will combine different fabric textures with pleasant detail at necklines, sleeves and collars. Beautiful corsages from Wayne's for Flowers will highlight many of the ensembles which include skirts and blouses, casuals, date dresses, television robes, dressy blacks and formals.
