FERGUS, DECEASED. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the creditors of and all persons having claims against the said decedent or said estate to file them with the necessary vouchers in the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of the County of Orange, State of California, or to present the same, with the necessary vouchers, to the undersigned at his or her place of business, to-wit: 403 Bank of America Bldg. 104 North Claudina, Anaheim, California; within six months after the first publication of this notice. Dated: August 21, 1950. OLIVE E. FERGUS, Executrix of the Last Will and Testament of said decendent. FRIS & SCHUTZ, 403 Bank of America Bldg., Anaheim, Calif. Attorneys for Executrix. (Pub. Anaheim Gazette, Sept. 6, 13, 20 and 27, 1950.) IN THE SUPERIOR COURT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF ORANGE ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE NO. A-19417 In the Matter of the Application of PERICLES ZAHAROPOULOS and LEONIE P. ZAHAROPOULOS for CHANGE OF NAME PERICLES ZAHAROPOULOS and LEONIE P. ZAHAROPOULOS, husband and wife, have this day filed their application praying for an ORDER OF THIS COURT changing their names to the proposed names, respectively, of: PERRY ZAHARIAS and LEONIE P. ZAHARIAS IT IS ORDERED, that all persons interested in the above entitled matter, appear before the said Superior Court in Department 2 at 10:00 A.M. of said day, to wit: October 13, 1950. TO SHOW CAUSE, why the said application for CHANGE OF NAME should not be granted. AND IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that a copy of this ORDER be published in the ANAHEIM GAZETTE THE WOMEN DO IT—Opening guns of Gov. Earl Warren's drive for re-election were fired by Mrs. Lelia Eastman Baeskens of Orange, left, his Orange County campaign manager, and Mrs. Arthur A. May of Santa Ana, county chairman of women's division. They are mustering volunteer help from women all over the county. County Women Open Governor Warren Re-Election Campaign Headquarters Women stole the march on the men today, as they opened campaign headquarters for re-election of Gov. Earl Warren, and they at once got the plaudits of his county campaign directors. Mrs. Lelia Eastman Baeskens of Orange will be Gov. Warren's campaign manager; and Mrs. Arthur A. May of Santa Ana, long active in political affairs will be county chairman of the women's division. Both held similar portfolios in the June primary election. A. J. McFadden of Santa Ana and William J. Phillips of Fullerton, co-chairman of the Orange county campaign for re-election of Gov. Warren, expressed pleasure when informed that the women are mustering full crews of volunteers for the November election drive. “There is in the making a tidal wave of support for Gov. Warren, throughout the state as well as in Orange county,” they said. “Gov. Warren's fine administration warrants such support of voters throughout the state.” The co-chairmen, lauding the trend of interest by the women in the retention of Gov. Warren as the state's chief executive, said that they are "budget-minded" in their homes and realize importance of balanced budgets and pay - as - you - go administration which Warren has given California since he has been our governor. Home Builder Tells Standards Buyers Set A low down payment and easy monthly terms are the economic necessities of a new home, but location of tract, as well as quality construction with good ideas carefully executed will make it more liveable and increase the value of the investment, home experts point out. Look for modern, well-planned kitchens, good plumbing, tile baths, hardwood floors, good floor plans with ample closet and linen space if you want your home to be built for the future as well as the present. Henry C. Cox, president of LifeTime Homes, recently stated that the smart home-buyer of today looks for all of these features and that most of the popular tracts include them. Lifetime Homes, he declared, not only stressed ease of living in their three-bedroom homes, in Santa Ana, Anaheim and Fullerton, but also chose the location of the homes with care. The tract in Santa Ana was sold out in a few weeks and now veterans are rapidly grabbing up the homes in Anaheim and Fullerton. “Veterans know these are our last homes to be sold for no-money-down, but the tracts are close to schools and near markets and every house is planned with the future in mind,” Cox said. “Today," the builder remarked, "the home-buyer knows what he wants and its up to the builders to give it to him." CHANGE OF NAME PERCLES ZAHAROPOULOS and LEONIE P. ZAHAROPOULOS, husband and wife, have this day filed their application praying for an ORDER OF THIS COURT changing their names to the proposed names, respectively, of: PERRY ZAHARIAS and LEONIE P. ZAHARIAS IT IS ORDERED, that all persons interested in the above entitled matter, appear before the said Superior Court in Department 2 at 10:00 A.M. of said day, to wit: October 13, 1950, TO SHOW CAUSE, why the said application for CHANGE OF NAME should not be granted. AND IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that a copy of this ORDER be published in the ANAHEIM GAZETTE a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the said County of Orange for four successive weeks prior to the 13th day of October, 1950. DATED this 5 day of September, 1950. FRANKLIN G. WEST, Judge of the Superior Court. PERCLES ZAHAROPOULOS, 255 4th Street, Seal Beach, California, (His own attorney). (Pub. Oslo has incorporated large suburban and woodland areas so that the geographic center of the city is a woodland lake in the hills. Cross-Filing Set Democrat Target Democratic party leaders announced today that petitions to discard the California cross-filing primary election law will be circulated in Orange county this week, as part of a state-wide campaign for that objective. James E. Walker of Santa Ana, Democratic county central committee chairman, said the county group plans to supply 3000 signatures of the 127,920 total required in the state. Registered voters only are eligible to sign this petition. Petitions will be filed with the state legislature in October, said Walker, requiring the legislature to repeal the present cross-filing law, which permits candidates in the primary election to file for nomination of both parties, without declaring party affiliation. If the legislature fails to repeal the law, the proposal for repeal automatically goes on the ballot of the next succeeding general election, Walker said. Bears Put Stress On Defense Work BERKELEY (UP) — Lynn (Pappy) Waldorf gave his University of California, Golden Bear gridders their first defensive workout yesterday. Dut Pappy complained about offense. He said it didn't look quite as hot as it had last week when the emphasis was on moving the ball. And the defense he added, is bad because the blocking is still poor. He namedookie guard Glen Gulvin as the Jay's standout. Mendoza Joins Anaheim Mercury Wes Mendoza, formerly with Bevins Pontiac, has joined the sales staff of Anaheim Mercury, 626 S. Los Angeles st. The announcement was made today by C. C. Harry, Anaheim Mercury owner. Mendoza is a lifelong resident of Anaheim. He is a member of the Angheim Junior Chamber of Commerce. Currently he is performing the office of captain of the Fiesta Division of the Halloween Festival. A marine veteran of World War II, Mendoza now resides with his wife, Audrey and two children, Beth and Alice at 1933 E. Center. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mendoza. Bruin Narleski May Be Promoted LOS ANGELES (UP) — Third string tailback Ted Narleski, a fleet 160-pounder, may find himself graduated to a higher spot on the UCLA football squad if he keeps up his running and passing. The lad from Collingwood, N. J., ran for three touchdowns, and passed for two more scores to right halfback Ike Jones of Santa Monica in yesterday's scrimmage.
