Citron. Guests were Mrs. N. Tessner, office secretary and Mrs. G. Fowler. Regular scheduled meetings of the board of directors and chairmen will be held the second Tuesday of every month at 9 o'clock in the Girl Scout house. Recently elected Board of Directors are: Mrs. W. Bushman, commissioner; Mrs. Myers, 1st deputy commissioner; Mrs. Raymond Hathaway, 2nd deputy commissioner; Mrs. Harold Ferguson, recording secretary; Mrs. F. E. Wednesday, July 9, the Gazette covered with pictures and a story by Shirley Schmitz, the two week established Scout Camp at San Antonio on Mt. Baldy. Yesterday Mrs. Peter Schmitz reported that 146 Girl Scouts and a staff of 16 were maintained during the two week period. Mrs. Francis Baker of Santa Ana was the Camp Director. The Henlser ranch, located above Olive—nine miles from Anaheim, has been loaned exclusively to Anaheim Girl Scout Troops, but it may be used by other councils for overnight troop camping if scheduled through the Anaheim Girl Scout house. A charge of $1.00 a troop for the night is made for the privilege. Mrs. J. Dutzi concluded her report with these statistics: 13 troops have been camping overnight this summer; this includes one hundred and 88 girls and 42 adults. J. Frances Addy, general camp chairman of joint Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops is also heading a committee to find a permanent camp site for the established camp. Program chairman, Mrs. N. F. DeCock, revealed plans for five hundred Girl Scout calendars to be ordered and distributed this fall. A. J. Schutte submitted the Girl Scout budget to the Community Chest budget committee, it was reported by Mrs. Bushman. General business brought up the subject of Senior Scouting. The first two Senior Scout units will be started this fall. Also discussed were the applications for executive director which have been received.
