Alumnae Group Meets Recently
A special meeting of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association of Whittier and Orange county was called last Saturday for the purpose of hearing a report given by Mrs. Helen Thompson of Anaheim. She reported on the International Convention of Kappa Kappa Gamma, which she attended as representative of the alumnae group here. The convention was held at Murray Bay, Quebec, Canada.
The convention was one of the most successful ever held. There were special cars from all parts of the United States and Canada, with a whole train being gathered at Chicago. The importance of scholarship in the chapters was stressed, and gratification was expressed at the success of the far-reaching program. Mrs. Thompson brought back with her a large scrapbook of favors, menus and programs, which members of the association enjoyed seeing.
The meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Fred Bolles, on Dorothea rd., La Habra Heights. Mrs. Bolles served refreshments of cookies and punch.
The next meeting of the group will be a pot-luck supper for the husbands of members, and will be held at the home of Mrs. Robert Christman, on North Hill ave., Whittier, September 9.
