(AP)—Well how, do you suppose Althea Gibson, the first Negro to play in the national tennis championships, can beat Wimblecon titlist Louise Brough? Weather permitting, the answer will come today when they finish their rain-interrupted match with Althea ahead, 1-6, 6-3, 7-5 and Miss Brough serving. One thing is certain: Miss Gibson, a tall angular product of Harlem, has acquitted herself well. She's ready for the big time. One Weakness Althea, who attends Florida A. and M. college, has a good service and backs it up by charging the net. Perhaps her main weakness is in ground strokes. As the tourney goes into its third day, the ranking men still are very much in the running. Don McNeill, who had upset Australia's Ken McGregor, was trailing Bill Talbert, another veteran campaigner, 1-6, 1-1, when the Tony Trabert of Cincinnati, 6-4, 6-1, 7-5. In the women's division, the second round still is not complete. Mrs. Margaret Osborne Dupont, seeded No. 1, turned back Mrs. Edna Salichs of Forest Hills, G-0, G-1. UNITED NATIONS FLAG TO FLY IN L. A. AFTER ALL LOS ANGELES (AP)—The United Nations may proceed. Los Angeles is going to fly the U. N. flag after all. The American Association for the United Nations sent a delegation that swayed the supervisors to a 3 to 2 vote in favor of hanging the U. N. banner in the Plaza of Flags at the County Hall of Records. LEGAL NOTICES (Pub. Anaheim Gazette, Aug. 23, 30, Sept. 6, 13 and 20, 1950.) No. A-19327 NOTICE TO CREDITORS ESTATE OF EDWIN L.
