NEWLYWED—Mr. and Mrs. William Burr, Jr., following their marriage at Capilla de San Antonio NEWLYWED—Mr. and Mrs. William Burr, Jr., following their marriage at Capilla de San Antonio on Sunday in an impressive candlelight ceremony. The bride is the former Miss Della Horn. Miss Della Horn and William B. Burr, Jr., Exchange Vows in Impressive Chapel Rites With the picturesque garden chapel at Capilla de San Antonio providing an impressive background for the ceremony, Miss Della Horn and William B. Burr, Jr., were married Sunday, August 27, before a large number of relatives and friends. The couple stood before an altar banked with baskets of gladiolus and chrystanthemums, while the Rev. Phillip R. Selfridge, pastor of the United Brethren church, conducted the formal rites. Standing at each side of the altar and along the aisle were candleabra holding lighted tapers, that cast a soft candle glow over the chapel. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an exquisite gown of white satin and chantilly lace, fashioned with a fitted bodice, long bridal train and long sleeves. Sentimental accents to her costume was the veil, worn by the matron of honor when she was married, and a dainty handkerchief, once belonging to the bride's great, great aunt. An arrangement of gardenias and carnations tied with white ribbon, was the bouquet carried by the bride. Matron of honor was Mrs. Sue Benbrooks-Howard, a school friend of the bride. A pink satin dress, styled with an off-the-shoulder neckline, was worn by Mrs. Howard, who also wore a pink net juliet cap in her hair. She carried a bouquet of pearls and chrysanthemums, as did the bridesmaids. Miss Joan Spencer and Miss Jeannine Pannier were bridegroom maids and wore gowns patterned after the matron's of honor. Blu juliet hats, matching their blue dresses, were also a part of the ensembles. Jack Adams, close friend of the bridegroom, served him as best man, with Karl Sihilling, uncle of the bride; Bob Larsen, cousin of the groom; Herschel Coulter and Rel Schmitt assuming the ushering duties. They wore white jackets and dark trousers, as did the bridegroom and the bride's father. Miss Carol Bostick was organist while Mr. Kenneth Akin of Santa Ana was nuptial soloist, singing "One Alone" and "Because." Serving at the reception, immediately following the ceremony were Miss Genevieve Kirk and Miss June Hokanson. Miss Jack Whiteman presided at the guest book and Miss Beverly Curtis was in charge of the gifts. A blue satin gown with pink accessories was worn by the bride's mother and the bridegroom's mother chose to wear beige satin dress with natural straw accessories. Both had garments denia corsages as added accent to their gowns. Following the newlyweds one week honeymoon at some undisclosed destination, they will make their home with the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Horn on 548 S. Resh st. The new Mrs. Burr wore a soft salmon colored jersey dress with black accessories and the white corsage from her bouquet for her going away ensemble. An active member of her class at Anaheim Union High school the bride was vice-president of the Girls' League and a member of the Girls' Athletic Association Co-operative Society.
