The new Mrs. William Findley, nee Miss Marilyn Heinz, throws bridal bouquet following marriage at the St. Boniface Catholic church. The couple are now honeymooning at Big Bear.
Heinz-Findley Recite Nuptial Vows Saturday Afternoon in St. Boniface Church
Saturday afternoon, August 26, Miss Marilyn Heinz and William O. Findley were united in marriage at the St. Boniface Catholic church in an impressive formal ceremony. The Rev. Father Thomas Cosgrove was acting clergy at the rites.
Escorting the bride down the white carpeted aisle was her father, who gave her in marriage. An ivory slipper satin gown trimmed with lace and fashioned with a scalloped peplum, long sleeves and long bridal train was worn by the bride. A necklace of four strands of pearls was the only accent to her dress. She carried a silver rosary given to her by the bride-groom.
Holding the bride's fingertip veil in place was a seed, pearl tiara. Her bouquet was an arrangement of white carnations and stephonitis, centered by a white orchid.
Mrs. Robert Heinz, the bride's sister-in-law, was matron of honor and wore a dress of apple green taffeta similar to the bride's. Her bouquet was of Vanda orchids. Miss Bernadette Heinz, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. She wore a dress of pale yellow taffeta identical in design to the matron's of honor and she carried a bouquet of orchid tinted carnations.
Both attendants wore coronets of flowers in their hair, corresponding with the bouquets they carried. Jeanette Heinz, niece of the bride, was the tiny flower girl. A pale yellow taffeta dress, trimmed with flowers made up her costume and she too, wore a headpiece of orchid carnations, matching the ones carried in a small basket.
Robert J. Heinz, brother of the bride, was groomsman at the occasion, while Staff Sgt. J. C. Terry, Thomas and Edward Heinz, both cousins of the bride, were in charge of the ushering duties.
"Oh God of Loveliness" and "Ave Maria" were sung by the bride's sister Mary Wade and her daughter Mrs. Harry Ving, who recently sold the Neighborhood Market, Stanton and Cerrits ave., to Bill Wong and left on a motor trip.
