Guests of Thomas Raineys Enjoy Reunion Sunday Mrs. Thomas Rainey of 9291 La Palma ave., was hostess at her ranch home Sunday, August 21, to a group of friends and a number of former pupils, whom she taught when a first grade teacher at Orangethorpe school. The occasion proved to be a successful reunion for friends who had not met for many years. A potluck dinner was served at a large table extending from the dining room into the living room. A chantilly lace table cloth covered the table, which was decorated with a centerpiece arrangement of a stork encroiled by gum drop baby buggies. Favors consisted of smaller storks with the same theme carried out for the table decorations. Gracing the mantle in the living room was another stork surrounded by fern and pastel shades of asters. Also adding accent to the room was a large basket of gifts for Mrs. Jack Gregg of Sunkist ave., Anaheim and Mrs. Rodney Lewis of Raven st., San Fernando. Mr. and Mrs. George Rainey formerly of Fullerton but now residing in Torrance, assisted Mrs. Gregg's mother in greeting the guests upon their arrival. The lawn and verandah provided an excellent playground for the children, adding to their enjoyment.
