Center, and several friends interested in foods for health shared a potluck dinner in the dining room of the White Temple Methodist church Wednesday evening. The food showed the many tasty dishes that can be made of sby beans and various unusual products. A short program followed the dinner.

BIRTHDAY PARTY—Bobby Sharp of 554 S. Palm was honored on his third birthday at a party in the City park Tuesday. Ice cream and cake were served preceding the opening of gifts. The group then spent the afternoon in the park playground. Ethelynn Gregory-Paul Montgomery Recite Vows
Miss Ethelynn Gregory and Paul Montgomery were married Saturday at a chapel in Yuma, Ariz., in an informal, double ring ceremony, with the Rev. Harold Lutes as acting clergy.
The bride chose a blue summer dress with white accessories for her wedding ensemble. A white corsage was further accent to her dress.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Blaisher were attendants to the couple. Interesting to note is that Mrs. Blaisher, sister of the bride and her husband were also married in the same chapel on the same date eight years previously. It was also the scene of the brother of the bride, Jack Gregory's, marriage. Mrs. Blaisher wore a white dress with corresponding accessories.
Upon the return of the bridal party to Anaheim, a reception was held in the Gregory home. A large tiered wedding cake, with tiny bride and groom, lighted candles and summer flowers decorated the serving table. Mrs. Gregory presided as hostess at the occasion, Assisting her were: Mrs. Braisher, Miss Joyce Enloe and Mrs. Georgia Williams, sister of the groom.
Attending the reception were: Mrs. Paul Rogers, Mrs. Peggy Boykin, Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey McWilliams.
Friday Night Date Of Grace Lutheran Ice Cream Social
Gallons and gallons of ice cream will be served to cool the parched throats of the hungry Grace Lutheran congregation, their friends and other members of the community at the Grace Lutheran church Friday, July 28, 5 to 8 p.m.
It is the annual Ice Cream Social with this year's event planned to be bigger and better than ever before. Families of the community are urged not to make any dessert for their evening meal on Friday, but to join others at the church at 400 S. Palm st. for ice cream, cake, coffee and punch anytime between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m.
Ice cream will be served on the church lawn between the church and the parish house and members of the Junior Luther League of the church will be the hosts.
Special feature of the evening will be the showing of the full-length, technicolor movie entitled "The Enchanted Forest," along with the showing of a color cartoon. This will begin at 8:00 p.m. in the church basement.

50 White Temple Youth Enjoy Moon On Harbor Boatride
Fifty members of the high school and college MYF at the White Temple Methodist church of Anaheim took a moonlight boat ride around Los Angeles - Long Beach Harbor last night, accompanied by Rev. and Mrs. Frank E. Butterworth and Minister of Youth Chuck Wiggins.
The water taxi left the First Street landing in San Pedro for a two hour cruise, both inside and outside the harbor. Carolyn Lenz provided a background of accordion music for the singing of popular and camp songs.
Special guests were Rev. and Airs. Douglas Henderson of the Epworth Methodist church in San Francisco and their children, who recently helped to entertain the touring Footlighters from White Temple in their northern city.

Allen-Stockton Engagement Told
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Allen, 10662 Chestnut st., Stanton, announce the engagement of their daughter Jeanette to Charles L. Stockton, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Stockton, 323-14th st., Seal Beach.
The young couple met at Big Bear while on vacation, three years ago. Both have been attending Fullerton Junior college. The groom-to-be will complete one more semester of college and then be employed with his father, who operates the Seal Beach pier.
An early fall wedding has been planned; the date to be announced later by the bride's parents. Jeanette was a recent contestant in the Queen contest sponsored by the Stanton Chamber of Commerce.

25 WRC Members Attend Social Day Activities
Social day for the Womens Relief Corps took place at the City Park Tuesday afternoon. A potluck luncheon and business meeting highlighted the group's activities.
Plans were made for the August meeting, one of the outstanding events of the organization's year, with the Anaheim WRS welcoming other patriotic orders to an impressive ceremony.
Eleven members of the Anaheim branch of the WRC attended the meeting of the District Federation in Laguna. A group will also attend the reception in Garden Grove for Grace Mitchell, who is junior department officer.

Post-Auxiliary Potluck Slated Monday, July 31
Monday, July 31, was the date announced at the VFW auxiliary meeting Monday night in the VFW hall on N. Philadelphia for the pint post and auxiliary potluck.
More plans for the series of card parties, the first to be held some time in August, were made, and pal Walters and Irene Brown were named as delegates to the national convention to be held in August.
Special guest was Lucille Couss. Refreshments were served by Mary and Agnes Hund.
August 1 the regular sewing meeting of the group will be held with Alma Richards and Minnie Harvey acting as hostesses:
Job’s Daughters Mothers Group Meets in Orange
Mrs. Merle Sowden of Mesa Dr. Orange, was hostess at the meeting of the Job’s Daughters Mothers Club Tuesday night.
A short business meeting was resided over by President Elsie Jennn and discussion of the group’s bazaar to be held the next week in December took place.
Following the meeting, the group journeyed to work on items that will be sold at the bazaar. Reshments served by the hostess included the evening's activities.
Attending in addition to the hosts and Mrs. Glenn were Mrs. Eulah Jennings, Mrs. Altha Roseook, Mrs. Karl Bastian and Marret Vincent.

John Rice, producer of the television show on Channel 5, Magazine of the Week, notified Mrs. Julian Black, secretary of the Stanton Chamber of Commerce, that Miss Stanton will be the cover girl on the show Sunday night at 10:00 p.m. Miss Stanton is the lovely Miss Charmaine Murray, winner of the recent queen contest sponsored by the Stanton Chamber. This will be the initial program on which a girl from Orange county has been featured.
The Coale Service station, 10511 Stanton ave., owned by Lewis Coale of Fullerton was looted, between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 7 am. Wednesday, for the second time within four days. The first time only half dollars and quarters, in the amount of $1.50 was taken. This time the thief took $14.
The building committee of the Stanton Chamber today passed on a permit for Nelson B. Reames to establish a stock feeding ranch for 12 Tennessee show horses. Raising horses is a hobby with Mr. Reames. His property on the north side of Cerritos at 8331 is 660 feet deep and 332 feet wide, 650 feet west of Dale ave. The stables in a central position to be 110 feet or more from the front of each property line adjoining, will be 36x36 feet.
Mrs. King Rutledge, 7511 E. Cerritos ave., returned Monday from a four day visit with her daughter, Kathy, and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Horley of San Rafael.
Personal Mention
Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Robertson, 1401 E. Santa Ana, returned from a trip by car to Kentucky where they visited relatives, in Eddyville, Louisville and Paducah. Antiques and crystal collections were purchased by the Robertsons along the way. Mr. Robertson is back at work in his real estate office at 114 N. Clementine.
Gerald "Jerry" Clabaugh, son of Mrs. Elmer Clabaugh of Fullerton, arrived home for a 48 hour pass recently. He is scheduled to leave soon with a naval air group for action in the far east. Clabaugh, AM second class, has served with the navy for the past four years and just recently re-enlisted for another six years.

Dr. H. C. Vogt has returned to its office at 107 E. Center st., after completing a refresher course in micro Occipital Technics.

Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wettstein and their son, Floyd, are settled in their attractive new home at 7032 E. Cerritos ave. Wettstein is a boatswain's mate at Los Alamitos in the active reserve.
