Eleanor Griffin-Myles Bradley Exchange Vows in White Temple Church Ceremony
Reciting their vows before a select group of relatives and friends Miss Eleanor Griffin of New York City and Myles D. Bradley of Anaheim were wed Saturday afternoon at the White Temple Methodist church, in a quiet double ring ceremony with the Rev. C. I. Andrews officiating at the rites.
Wearing a dress of rust lace over satin with rich brown accessories, the bride carried a bouquet of pink and rust carnations, with harmonizing two-tone streamers.
Mrs. Marie Farquharson, a friend, formerly of New York, but now residing in Los Angeles, was matron of honor. Her dress was a soft pink print and her bouquet featured pink carnations with harmonizing streamers also.
Escorting the bride's mother to her place was Willard Gregory, who acted as groomsman. Mrs. Griffin wore a sheer dress of navy blue with pink accessories and a pink carnation shoulder corsage.
Following the service the couple received congratulations and best wishes in the foyer of the church. A bridal dinner was shared at Welch’s in Long Beach.
Upon the couple’s return from a honeymoon up the coast they will take up residence at 222 E. Center st., Apt. 6.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Griffin of New York City and was formerly employed as a private secretary in that city.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Bradley of New York state and is the photographer-engraver for the Anaheim Gazette.
Doney-Reynolds Wed in Orange
Miss Charlotte Marie Doney and Richard David Reynolds were married July 10 in a quiet ceremony.
Ikettes Celebrate First Anniversary
A potluck dinner in La Palma park will be held Wednesday evening at 6:30 for members of Ikettes and their families celebrating the anniversary last July 7th the group’s first year of organization.
Starting with 19 members, the group has grown until it boasts 57 members and has become well known for its activities.
Though most of the year was voted to the tasks concerning organization, the group also found time to start the first organic women's rifle team in Oran county, which is now one of a team league, sponsor a Girl Scout troop and assist the Ike’s in the annual Huck Finn Day and form other aids to the Isaak Winton Leagues.
Many activities have been planned for the group’s future, such as Junior Ikettes, which will carry out their aim to help educate children and grown-ups in conservation.
Charter members of the group include: Mrs. Arch Henry, Mrs. Wayne Held, Mrs. Quint Hunt, Mrs. F. E. Loard, Mrs. N. Wingert, Mrs. Ralph Ausbuehl, Mrs. Margie Evans, Mrs. J. O’Kane, Mrs. C. F. Perry, Mrs James Corbett, Mrs. Emmett Fitzgerald, Mrs. Sam Whippo, Mrs. Wai Riesterer, Mrs. Goldie Ruyle, Marion Henry, Mrs. Frank Wick, and Mrs. William Wick.
John H. Kinney, Jr., of 1037 Los Angeles st., has qualified as a sheet metal contractor's license by Contractors State License board recently announced.

Doney-Reynolds Wed in Orange
Miss Charlotte Marie Doney and Richard David Reynolds were married July 1 in a quiet ceremony taking place in Orange at the home of the officiating clergy, Horace Dwinell.
A blege gabardine suit with navy accessories was the ensemble of the bride, who also had a large orchid corsage. Mrs. Stephen J. Teliska, sister of the bride, served as her only attendant and Stephen J. Teliska acted as groomsman. Mrs. Teliska was dressed in an aqua gabardine suit with black accessories and her corsage was of gardenias.
Following the couple's return from a week's honeymoon at Santa Catalina, where they traveled by plane, they took up residence at 211 S. Citron st., Anaheim.
Mr. and Mrs. W. Doney of Rensselaer, N.Y., are parents of the bride, who is affiliated with Chikasan Co., Brea. Mrs. Doney came from Rensselaer to be present at the ceremony and wore a light blue print dress with a gardenia corsage. She plans on spending the month of July with her other daughter, Mrs. Teliska.
Reynolds is the son of George P. Reynolds of Minneapolis, Minn., and is affiliated with the S.Q.R. store in Anaheim.
Mr. and Mrs. Emil Fischbeck are the parents of an 8 pound, 9 ounce son, born at the Anaheim Community hospital July 6.
Stanton Items
Wednesday night G. W. Irwin and Mr. and Mrs. Julian Bower were guests of the Los Alamuchie Chamber of Commerce. The meeting was conducted by the president, W. C. Poe Jr., in the station.
Mrs. Black, program chair of the Stanton Chamber, was vited to talk on the "Good-Neighbor Policy" established months by that group and to tell successful the plan had worked out. Each month the Stanton group have the president of chamber in West Orange co., as guest speaker. Mrs. Black included her talk by introducing G. W. Irwin, second vice-president of the Stanton chamber. By reelection Mr. Irwin explained how the group had been sponsoring the idea reactivating the West Or County Chamber of Commerce under a new name.
Mr. Irwin's ideas were so received that a resolution passed that the Los Alamuchie group would be the first to work out their sanitation,ter, highway and many more parts together and with as many more chambers in West Or county as care to join.
Russell Smirl was appointed the president to be chairman committee of three who would potential directors in the group, should it materialize. To set the date for the first meeting.

Adult Fellowship Meets at Church
Members of the older adult fellowship group met Friday at White Temple Methodist where they spent the afternoon playing games and enjoying recreational activities. Hosted by Mrs. Hunt.
This group, which is new idea for the older people meet the first Monday of month at 2:30 and dominates checkers and games this will be shared. The invited to attend regular church affiliation.
Due to illness and vacations was not as large the past. Attending were: Mrs. T. H. Haskett, Mrs. Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Jo-man, Mrs. Hunt, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Tedric, Mrs. Barker, Mrs. Myrtle Holm, Mrs. Florence Hudson.

An informal miscellaneous event was held last Thursday in the apartment Mrs. Nora Harkins and her ter, Mrs. Catherine Wilson E. Center st., honoring Mr. Griffin of New York City became the bride of Mr. Bradley, Anaheim Gazetterapher last Saturday afternoon.

Mr. Lynn Witherill of Harvard blvd., left recently by train to visit Memphis, Tenn., and New Orleans, La. Upon his arrival in New Orleans he will pick up his sister, Mrs. Van Wormer and nephew, Howard Stearns and will drive their car to California, where they plan to make their home.
Word came from Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Abbott that they are having a "lovely trip." They are on a business-pleasure trip which has taken them, thus far, to Victoria, British Columbia.
Mrs. Alma Mills McKinlay, former Anaheim resident, but who has been residing in Honlulu for many years, is here visiting Mrs. Tom Scott and Mrs. O. H. Renner. She has just returned from a trip to Europe, Scotland, France and Italy. She will remain here a week visiting old friends and her brother, Robert Mills, of Riverside, also a former resident of Anaheim.
Miss Teddy Lou Payne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted L. Payne of 419 S. Indiana st., won a competitive scholarship to Whittier college, where she will continue her primary education major. Miss Payne is a graduate of Anaheim Union high school and recently received her diploma from Fullerton Junior college where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Sigma, honorary scholastic group; Kappa Lambda Sigma sorority and Delta Psi Omega fraternity, national drama organization. FRENCH FRIED ONIONS
6 medium-sized onions
1 cup milk
¼ cup water
Flour
Salt
Lard for deep-fat frying
Slice onions ¼ inch thick and separate rings. Combine milk and water and pour over onions. Let stand 20 to 30 minutes, turning occasionally to let slices absorb liquid. Dip onion slices in seasoned flour. Fry in deep hot lard (365F.) until golden brown. 8 servings.
