Shirley Sala and Jack Eckerlin Married In Capilla De San Antonio Chapel Rites Shirley Marilyn Sala and Jack Eckerlin were married Sunday evening in a quiet ceremony at the Capilla De San Antonio chapel before a group of relatives and friends. Given in marriage by her father, George Sala, the bride was gowned in a white taffeta dress, with an embossed organza overskirt of ballerina length. Accenting her ensemble were three strands of pearls and her veil was shoulder length. White orchids tied with satin streamers made up the bridal bouquet. Miss Virginia Casey was the maid of honor and wore a pink satin gown with a sheer organza overskirt, fashioned after the bride's and carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations. Best man was Bert Tannahill with John Anderson, cousin of the bride and Jack Haggerty serving as ushers. Officiating at the rites was the Rev. Robert Burns McCauley of Orange, Mrs. Emma Murphey was organist and included in the solo numbers was "The Lord's Prayer." Mrs. Athy had an appointment Mrs. Renstrom would take care of her shop, if Mrs. Renstrom had an engagement Mrs. Athy would return the favor. Acquainted with each others business, both ladies are now employing this system every day. If one is a little late she will find her shop open and taken care of, if one is too busy to handle all her customers, the other will come to her assistance. When they enlarged and remodeled their stores, one of the things they had added was a door to enable them to go back and forth more easily. The latest addition to the shops is Mrs. Marietta Shaeffer, who is trained to sell dresses in the dress shop or help in the cleaning establishment. Mrs. Athy and Mrs. Renstrom pay her individually for the number of hours she spends Garden Club Has Annual Playday Members of the Anaheim Garden club went on their playday today with approximately 27 participating in the annual activities.
