The next day, Barth and another deputy went to the boy's home and attempted to arrest him for destroying public property. John and Evelyn Jackson, his parents, refused to permit the arrest on the ground Barth had no warrant, so Barth and the other deputy arrested the parents on charges of restraining houses in various districts. Citrus Industry Approves On-Job Training Program An on-the-job training program to fit young men for a career in the citrus industry has been approved by the Mutual Orange Distributors board of directors to be executed through the field department. "Objective of the training program is to attract and hold the right type of personnel for the industry," said Robbins Russel, general manager of the cooperative. The program will be under the direct supervision of Gordon Lane, representative of the field department. D. S. Deltoo is chief of the department. The program as planned, will be sponsored both by MOD and Real Gold Citrus Products, its processing division.
