Reveal McCarthy Paid $10,000 by Lustron Homes BULLETIN COLUMBUS, O. (AP)—The Lustron Corporation paid U. S. Senator Joseph R. McCarthy (R-Wis.) $10,000 for writing an article on housing; a receiver's report showed today. A photograph of a $10,000 check and the copy of a contract between the senator and Lustron were filed in U. S. District Court by the receiver for the prefabricated house manufacturer. McCarthy was on route from Washington to a Groton, Conn., speaking engagement and was immediately available for comment. The only legal restriction on other activities by members of Congress is that they may not plead cases before government agencies. Stars to Continue TV—for Awhile HOLLYWOOD (AP) — Hollywood baseball fans—the stay-at-home television brand—get good news today. The club has decided to continue televising their Pacific Coast league games; for a while longer, anyhow. Directors have blamed TV for some of the attendance decline this year. The club has drawn 23,000 fewer fans to 36 home games this season than last. The paid admission count: 1950—216,904; 1949—240,297.
