Alabama Jubilee Minstrels Tops Friday Entertainment Tops on the city's entertainment program for tonight are the Alabama Minstrels, that long heralded face show sponsored by the Mariners Club of the Terian Church. With an amateur all-star cast, the show its second annual performance on the Anaheim High stage at 8 p.m. With eight end men and a bevy of beauteous chocolate creamed honeys, interlocutor Glenn Kunz will have his hands full while emceeing the rollicking performance. Action goes on all over the place and many of Anaheim citizens come in for a share of the ribbing. Dark-Town Strummers In the dark town strummers band that very black complected gentleman playing the clarinet is none other than that popular nose and ear specialist, Dr. John Wilcox. Beneath their burnt cork rouge the four banjo players may be identified as Dave Collins, Chad Boliek and Jim Auest. That dark shadow with the big fiddle is Bob Simon. Featured on the program is Anaheim's favorite baritone, Bob Larson, in Hoople Sapollo and the "Glory Road." Anna Lewerenz sings "de blues" as Hep Cat Aunt Hagar with the rhythm bounce. Long lanky lazy Bones, end man Bill Talevich, with the musical mouth organ, is the big laugh throughout. Banjo playing "Red" Ray Hamilton plays a melody of banjo numbers reminiscent of show boat days. Bob Burns, long a favorite in the Richards-Martin shows, will Yeggs Yank $2 From Store Ti (Continued from Page) the police this morning. "Said, 'was white, 23-25 age, 5'9' tall and weigh 160 pounds. For sheer beauty and pure comedy the "Wedding of Lulu Wafer" is another of the highlights of the two hour performance. The bride and groom play their parts to perfection but the brilliant satellite of the skit, the principal who exudes a realistic fervor to his duties as the officiating marrying parson, is none other than the Presbyterian's own pastor, Reverend Howard Congdon. Backstage Special mention should be given those untiring workers behind the scenes who have contributed so much to the success of the show: Dolores Kunz, make-up supervisor; Rod Cookus and Harold Hall, stage crew; Russell Hess, property man. Those gorgeous rainbow hued costumes worn by the charming Dixieland belles were made by Agnes Viken, Dolores Kunz and Marion Collins. Those very chic chapeaus are the creations of Marilyn Mason. All proceeds go to swell the church building fund. Tickets may be purchased from any Mariner.
