Formal Opening of Anaheim Appliance Store Tomorrow; Shuman Is Managed Store Manager Joe Shuman will cut the ribbon, marking the formal opening of the Anaheim Appliance store tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. Formerly Reinhardt's, the store is located at 114 East Center street. The opening day observance will last three days—Thursday through Friday. Highlight of the opening will come Saturday evening when some customer will be presented a new gas range. Tickets will be available at the Anaheim Appliance during the three-day opening. "With our policy of providing the best merchandise at the lowest possible price, we intend to make Anaheim Appliance the largest and best appliance store in Anaheim," said Manager Shuman. Anaheim Appliance has added 1000 square feet of floor space and has tripled the amount of stock on hand, according to Shuman. All leading appliance manufacturers have stock on the floors of the store. Featured in the store are the new laundry and television display rooms, situated so shoppers contemplating purchase may try out the washers with the family laundry and watch television shows at the same time. Shuman points with pride to Anaheim Appliances new television repair department, Walt Olderwurtel, former navy instrument man is in charge assisted by his son, Don. Manager Shuman, who resides at 728 North Topeka, was manager of the Reinhardt store for two years. A Navy veteran, he owned an appliance store and managed others in Orange county and North Long Beach before coming to Anaheim. Warren Sees Hard Battle In Campaign SAN FRANCISCO, May 10 (AP)—Gov. Earl Warren came to San Francisco today in quest of the nomination for a third term. At the Masonic hall on outer Mission street he had a doughnut and coffee breakfast with friends and campaign workers, then made a number of stops with his campaign bus in various parts of the city. Warren said there was nothing spectacular about the present campaign for governor "except the promises of some of the candidates who are trying to break in." He warned voters against complacency, said there was a hard campaign ahead, but predicted victory "if everybody will get out and vote." The governor returned today from a two day tour of San Luis Obispo and Monterey counties. He was to have dinner in North Beach tonight with district and neighborhood chairmen of the campaign.
