His son, Ted Kuchel took over Mrs. Henry Kuchel, mother of present publisher, is still active in the publication of the paper, writes the widely read feature The Days of Long Ago," will be published daily in Gazette. Mrs. Daisy Smith Funeral Services This Afternoon Mrs. Daisy Laura Smith, 76, a native of Illinois who came to Anaheim 33 years ago and who lived at 10361 Brooghurst road for 31 years, died early Saturday morning at her home after a prolonged illness. Mrs. Smith is survived by two sons, John Donald Smith of Fullerton, and Gene E. Smith of Anaheim; one brother, E. W. Roper of Kansas; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews in southern California. She was a member of the Fullerton Baptist church. Funeral services were conducted at the Hilgenfeld chapel today at 2 o'clock. The Rev. E. Woody Hodson, pastor of the Fullerton Baptist church, officiated and burial was made in the family plot in Loma Vista Memorial Park. County Adds 23 Precincts Orange county voting precincts have been increased by 23 new polling places to a total of 318 precincts for the June 6 primaries, it was announced today by County Clerk B. J. Smith. None were added in Anaheim. The 23 new precincts include eight in Costa Mesa, four in Newport, two in Garden Grove, two in Westminster.
