Appear at American Legion Show Friday

"Onsy, Twosy Line" will be the number of Jean Michaux, Patty Mennes, Patty McKee, Janice Pullman and Marlene Hansard.
The tap group will feature Lavon Hart, Patty Mennes, Gordon Crilly and Glen Crilly. Joe Wallace, the master of ceremonies, will present a stint for the 15th number on the program.
"The Mayor of Kannakakai Dance" will be the number for Letty Cain and Ruth Ross who will do an acrobatic number. Lavon Hart and Gordon Crilly will present an exhibition dance followed by Judy Rockwell dancing to "Little Brown Gal." An Irish dance will be executed by Barbara Murphy and Barbara apin, and following this the Tulsa Sweethearts will present their portion of the program.

Mary Webb Elected Vice-President of UCLA Sorority
Mary Ann Webb of 529 West Broadway, Anaheim, a junior student in the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences, has been announced as the newly elected vice-president of the SC chapter of Gamma Phi Beta social sorority. A graduate of Anaheim Union high school, she is also a member of the SC YWCA.
Dorcas Society To Hear County Crime Problems
Russell Campbell of the Orange County Juvenile Department will be speaker at a meeting of the Dorcas Society of the Zion Lutheran church Thursday, April 20 at 2 p.m. The meeting will be held in the church parish hall. Campbell's topic will be, "Crime Problems of Orange County." He will show a film "The Birth of a Criminal."

A trip to the zoo! Special Easter treat for Girl Scouts from Troop 37 of Benjamin Franklin school was a trip to Balboa Park in San Diego via Santa Fe Streamliner where 24 girls, six leaders and four sons of leaders enjoyed an eventful day.
From the train, this group journeyed by bus to the zoo where they divided the group with four girls to each leader for tour of the park. Some enjoyed the bus ride around the park while others walked over the route, skipping from one canyon to the next. High point of the day was the seal show in the amphitheater with three seals giving a good show.
Leaders making the trip were Mrs. Herman Schafer, Mrs. Kenneth Eldred, Mrs. Ray Cheatum, Mrs. Harold Fisher, Mrs. Woody Barnett and Mrs. Conan Gray. There are 25 girls in this troop, all actively engaged in completing requirements for their second class scout badge, with the majority having only one to go.
Scouts making the San Diego trip were Lodema Barge, Brenda Barnett, Patsy Briggs, Edith Bullen, Charlotte Crain, Linda Cheatum, Peggy Jo Dargatz, Barbara Dierberger, Kay Eldred, Marie Feliz, Lucy Fischle, Nancy Jo Fisher, Glenda Gray, Nancy Guss, Carol Hemken, Mary Jane Lockhart, Jeanette Masterson, Diane Merrill, Mary Provencio, Carol Ryan, Glenda Simonton, Allene Schafer, Betty Wick and Donna Wright.

Mr. Knight is the incumbent seeking the office of Lieutenant-Governor. This may be his only appearance in this community prior to the election.

Anaheim FFA Win Top Honors In Southland
First place in the 14th annual cooperative marketing contest, sponsored by the six leading agricultural cooperatives of southern California, was won by the Anaheim chapter of Future Farmers of America. Teacher instructor of the winning team is Avon Carlson.
Future Farmers from Encinitas high school were second, with North Hollywood high school placing third in the contest.
More than 700 young Future Farmers, representing over 90 per cent of eligible vocational agriculture students in 40 southern California high schools, participated

St. Boniface troops are actively engaged in special projects and badge work. Troop 9 recently enjoyed an overnight at Rankin's Dude Ranch where hiking and singing were high points in a program which included cooking their own meals. This group of seventh graders under the direction of Mrs. Don May is now earning the Home Nursing badge with Mrs. Roberts assisting.
Brownies of Troop 6 meet each week at the home of the leader, Mrs. M. E. Dugan, for a varied program of crafts, folk songs and dances, and skill training. Easter baskets of plastic, interwoven with twisted crepe paper and filled with tinted egg shells in which the girls planted flaxseed was a recent most fascinating project. Carol Ann Lehr's birthday was cause for cake and ice cream at one meeting and girls played "Elephant" and "The Muffin Man."
A Saturday hike was also a special Easter treat for these Brownie fly-ups from St. Boniface, with destination the Urban Peltzer home where girls toasted weinies and made home-made ice cream.
Eighth grade Girl Scouts from Troop 8 are working on a play they will present in May, with Catherine Peltzer to play the lead. Girls were chosen for the parts by ballot.
A visit to the Kay Finch Ceramic Shop in Corona Del Mar was a special treat for these girls where they were received in the beautiful display rooms.
