Nipper of 753 North Sabina street, this city, are planning on leaving Saturday of this week for an extended business visit and a short vacation with relatives and friends in Tulsa and Osage counties, Oklahoma. Casper Mellum Claimed by Death Casper Mellum, "Cap" to his many friends, passed away at his home at 915 North Olive street, on Sunday, March 19, after an extended illness. His health had been failing for several years. Born in Norway 66 years ago, he came to the United States in 1892 and to Anaheim ten years ago. Surviving are his wife, Josephine R. Mellum of the home; a son, Lester Mellum of South Dakota; two brothers, John Mellum of South Dakota and Clarence Mellum of Los Angeles; and two sisters, Mrs. Ellen J. Post and Mrs. Marie Greene, both of Minnesota. Funeral services were held from the chapel of Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars mortuary Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock with the Rev. L. E. Elfert, pastor of Zion Lutheran church, officiating. Interment was in Anaheim cemetery. Koch, a native of India, passed away at her home 8 North Clementine street, city, on Thursday of last week, March 16. She was 53 years of age, and had resided in Anaheim for two years. Surviving are her husband, Marcellus B. Koch of the home; a son, Jack Koch of Los Angeles, and a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Egar of Santa Monica. Funeral services were held today (Thursday) at 3 p.m., at Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars mortuary with the Rev. Howard S. Congdon, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating.
