Gowned in ivory slipper satin,
Miss Celestine Elizabeth Lieb,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Lieb of 207 North Claudina street, Anaheim, became the bride of Mark John Guho, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark N. Guho of Los Angeles last Saturday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Cecilia's Catholic church with Father Doherty officiating for the double ring ceremony and nuptial mass.
The skirt of the bride's gown ended in a long train. Given in marriage by her father, she carried a bouquet of white orchids, stephanotis and phuloapin orchids.
Maid of honor was the bride's sister, Mary Lieb of Anaheim. Her bride's maids were Miss Helen Guho, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Pearl Butier, cousin of the bridegroom. Both wore identical gowns of lilac satin, which color was also worn by the maid of honor. Their headaddresses were lilac lace tiaras. Each carried a bouquet of lilacs and carnations.
Miss Patricia Walsh was the flower girl clad in a white marquisette dress. She had a small bouquet of carnations and lilacs.
The altars were arranged with white stocks, gladioli and baby wreath. George Miller, nuptial soloist, sang "On This Day Oessionals, will begin June 27.
During the past two years, Mennes has designed the settings and supervised all artistic phases of the twenty plays presented.
E. Willard Schurz, renowned east-and-west-coast art director and designer, will assume Mennes' previous duties. New to Orange county audiences, Schurz joins the company at Holiday Stage after two years as combined art and technical director for the Globe Theater in San Diego.
Attend State Medical Confab
Delegates of the Women's auxiliary of the Orange County Medical Association attended the nineteenth annual convention of the California Medical Association and Auxiliary at the Biltmore hotel in Los Angeles Sunday through Tuesday.
Among those present were Mrs. H. M. Currey, state second vice-president; Mrs. Llewellyn Wilson of Anaheim, first district councilor, and Mrs. Milo K. Tedstrom and Mrs. Thomas Rhone, president and president-elect of the Women's auxiliary of this county.
An alternate for the convention was Mrs. G. W. Olson of this city.
Highlights of the sessions included a discussion by Dr. L. Howard Schriver, president of the Associated Medical Care Plans, who

Mrs. Lieb, the bride's mother, chose a dusty rose dress and brown accessories. Mother of the bridegroom, Mrs. Guho, wore a soft nile green dress and darker green accessories. Both mothers had orchid corsages.
Immediately following the ceremony, the newlyweds left on a honeymoon trip of undisclosed destination. Upon their return, they will live at 2928 West Santa Barbara avenue, Los Angeles.
The bride is a graduate of Anaheim Union high school, Fullerton Junior college and Queen of Angles College of Nursing.
Her husband is a graduate of Loyola university and currently is engaged in the contracting business.
View 'Ramona' Pageant Finale
Living popularity of the Ramona Pageant since its first presentation in 1923, was manifested again as thousands of spectators thronged the great ampitheater at Hemet last Sunday to view the final colorful production of the 1949 season.
This year Consuelo Young eloquently portrayed the role of the beautiful Indian-Spanish girl whose sensitiveness and courage was immortalized in the book "Ramona" by Helen Hunt Jackson. Convincing as the lithe Alessandro, captain of the sheep herders of the Moreno rancho, and the proud stoical son of an Indian Chieftain was William Pullen. Orange county audiences will see Pullen as one of the leading actors in Holiday Stage productions at Tustin beginning June 27, in his and the professional summer stock company's third season.
Among Anaheim's citizens attending the final Ramona extravaganza featuring a huge cast of Hemet and San Jacinto residents, were Mrs. J. K. St. Agnes Guild Bridge Party This Saturday
Reservation are rapidly coming in for the annual St. Agnes Guild bridge-tea to be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Anaheim Ebell club house under the auspices of the St. Michael's Episcopal church group.
All proceeds will be used to swell funds for church projects including the expansion of Sunday school facilities. Mrs. Ted Kuchel is general chairman for this year's program.
Special grand prize of a man's or a woman's wrist watch will be awarded during the afternoon, courtesy of Victor G. Loly, jeweler. Many other attractive door prizes will also be presented through the courtesy of local merchants.

Lutheran Women's Meeting Set
The Women's Federation, southern district, of the Lutheran church will meet all day Tuesday, May 17, at Compton in the First Lutheran church, 804 East Rosecrans.
Host pastor for the affair will be the Rev. Lang of the Compton church.
Registration for the meeting will begin at 9:30 o'clock to be followed by the first session at 10 o'clock in the morning.

Marywood Girls Present Program
Senior girls of Marywood high school portrayed the famous Madonnas in their annual program, presented this year in the Anaheim Ebell club house last night (Wednesday).
Honoring 'Our Lady,' the program included tableaus of "Our Lady in Art," and "Shrines of Our Lady." A program of hymns was given by the glee club.
Introducing the production was Alice Martin. Accompanists were Alice Martin and Carolyn Schumacher. Narration accompanied each tableau.
Promotion for Holiday Stage Art Director
Norman Mennes, former art director for Holiday Stage, professionally summer stock company, has recently been promoted to a new position of coordinator of all branches of stage production, including settings, properties, lighting, costumes and the rehearsed play, for the third season of drama at Tustin.

PEO Chapter Hears Convention Report
A complete and interesting report of the recent convention of P. E. O. chapters of southern California held at Coronado Hotel on May 4 and 5 was given by the president, Mrs. Paul Davidson at the meeting held Wednesday afternoon for members of Chapter BP of P. E. O.
The home of Mrs. M. A. Gauer at 212 North Helena street was the scene of the meeting with co-hostesses being Mrs. J. S. Ward and Mrs. R. J. Bowman.
A delightful and informative afternoon was spent by this present for the meeting.

In honor of Mrs. Ben Ter Beest on Mother's Day, Sunday, members of the family gathered at the Ter Beest ranch home on East Ball road. Enjoying a picnic in the Ter Beest garden were her sons and their families including Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Ter Beest and family, of Inglewood; Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Ter Beest and son, Danny, of Midway City; and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Ter Beest of Cypress. The group enjoyed a television show during the afternoon.

Raymond Massey Stars on KVOE DVD Radio Show
Raymond Massey, one of the most distinguished actors on the American scene, will be heard in a drama, “The Lips of a Strange Woman,” over Station KVOE on Thursday, May 19, at 10:15 a.m., with a re-broadcast on Friday, May 20, at 8:30 p.m.
“The Lips of a Strange Woman,” presents out what faith, knowledge and understanding can do to remit a man who has temporarily been among evil companions. The central figure of the play, Collins, such a man.
Collins finds his faith restored after a quiet talk with a minister. Then the aid of friends and wones of modern medical techniques complete the job of restoring him his wife, children and place in society.
The script for this dramatic and moving story was prepared by the Joint Religious Radio Committee, whose work is supported by five major Protestant denominations. Columbia University produced the program with the cooperation of the United States Public Health Service in a campaign against venereal disease.
Elks Celebrate Mothers Day
A ritual for Mother’s Day was held by officers of the Anaheim Elks lodge at the regular meeting last night (Wednesday) with Exalted Ruler Leavitt Ford in charge.
Speaker of the evening was the Rev. Howard Congdon, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, this city.
Special music on the entertainment program was provided by Miss Marvel McGill, soprano of Orange. She was accompanied by Mrs. Olive Kempin.
Clarence Woodbury was program chairman.
