NEW CHURCH RADIO PROGRAMS INAUGURATED
Miss Jane Cowl, noted actress, will play the courageous teacher in the new series of plays by the Episcopal churches of this country to be presented on the radio each Friday at 8 p.m. The first production in which Miss Cowl will appear is "The Corn Is Green" chosen from great scenes from great plays. The program will be heard locally over station KHJ in Los Angeles. The play teaches the importance of the teaching profession and the great part the church has to teach in its relation to the human race. This new type of program is a complete change from the regular church programs since there are no sermons, hymns nor prayers. A short talk at the conclusion of the play will explain the purpose of the program and how it affects the church. The rector of St. Michael's church and the vestry invite the public to hear the broadcast on Friday evening at 8 o'clock.
