Will Dedicate
Zion Lutheran
School Sunday
The newly completed Zion Lutheran school will be dedicated next Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock with the Rev. Victor L. Behnken, pastor of the Orange Immanuel Lutheran church, as guest speaker.
School and church officials from throughout Orange county are expected to attend the dedication services to be held in the patio of the new school.
It was expected by the Zion Lutheran congregation that the new building would be sufficient in size to meet the growth of enrollment, when plans for the structure were made early this year. Upon registration last Friday, however, it was found that every seat will be filled and some applications turned down. The enrollment figure stands at 95 to date.*
In addition to three large classrooms and a library, the school has a waiting room, office, three supply rooms and four restrooms. Architect was Fred Fleming. John Kahlen was chairman of the building committee.
Constructed at an estimated cost of $48,000, all painting and wiring of the school was done by volunteers from the congregation.

Discuss Church Building Plans
Financial and architectural plans for the new First Presbyterian church were discussed by an official committee of the church at a meeting called recently by the pastor, Rev. Howard S. Congdon, that information concerning the project may be given the congregation.
The board of trustees was instructed to retain Rev. George G. Downey of Burbank as financial counsellor. The architectural committee, headed by Arval Morris, was asked to develop tentative plans, shown during the session, to completion. Harry Peterson is the general chairman of the building project.
Tentative floor plans, which consists of a sanctuary, chapel and suggested remodeling of the present educational building, were shown the group on slides, the machine operated by Frank Gibbs. G. Stanley Wilson of Riverside the church's building architect drew sketches of outside elevations for the proposed construction especially for the potluck meeting. The dinner was served by the Ladies' Aid.
Local Men Named To NEPH Comm.
At the meeting of county people held Tuesday noon at Fullerton under the auspices of the California State Employment Service to acquaint the citizens with the National Employ the Physically Handicapped week to be held from October 3 to 9 over the state, several local citizens were named to committees to spearhead the drive locally. Included among these are Rev. Philip Selfridge, representing the Ministerial Association of Anaheim; Leavitt Ford, Lions Club of Anaheim; Art Parsons, Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, and Ted Payne, Anaheim Kiwanis club.
A 27-member committee, one of nearly 100 similar groups in the state, was organized at the meeting to bring to its annual climax the year-round campaign to translate physical handicaps into economic assets. Andrew Fuller of the State Department of Education, Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation, was named chairman of the local committee. He appointed a publicity and a speakers com-
A 27-member committee, one of nearly 100 similar groups in the state, was organized at the meeting to bring to its annual climax the year-round campaign to translate physical handicaps into economic assets. Andrew Fuller of the State Department of Education, Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation, was named chairman of the local committee. He appointed a publicity and a speakers committee. The publicity committee is composed of Don Smith of Fullerton; C. H. Peterson of La Habra; Art Parsons of Anaheim; Frank Rospaw of Placentia and Paul Kroesen of Buena Park. The speakers committee is composed for Charlotte Pickens of Fullerton, Hub Crawford of Fullerton and David Boyd of the State Employment Service.
Mr. Fuller stated that a full-scale effort will be made to show employers that handicapped workers in suitable jobs are at least as reliable, efficient and productive as those without physical impairment. The campaign will also be directed at those of the handicapped themselves who are not making full use of their actual or potential skills. They will be urged to take advantage of the medical care and training offered them by state and federal agencies.
The campaign is being carried on nationally by a President's committee. In this state, the Governor's Committee is under the chairmanship of James G. Bryant, state Director of Employment.
