There’s Always Juliet’ Hit at Holiday Stage
Although written about you love at first sight, a topic grips literary prominence through the ages. “There’s ways Juliet,” sophisticated cedy, nevertheless gives a frightful note as presented in Holiday Stage. this week, Monday through Saturday, in Tuition high school auditorium.
Mary Brian, versatile actress, adds charm to the role a sheltered English girl. Co-Oliver Cliff is cast as a young American architect.
Only conflict in the light plotted drama is the girl's decision in the face of a situation which means the breaking out long formal engagement by surrender marriage or losing her suit (Cliff) who must return to United States. She hesitates, the risks parental disapproval Cliff is viewed at the final oattain gingerly holding a phone and saying, “Mother?”
Clever banter of the dialogues audience appeal in a situation geared to a polite Brit setting too saturated in gracious boredom and old-time customs have a place for violent emotion. All facets of the situation are aired convincingly against background of the English girls' living room.
The part of the tradition Britisher is well played William Pullen. Connie Wells the highly proper but hearted maid.
Norman Mennes was in charge of the modern stage set. Harri Turney is the producer.
