Roberts discussing "Beaureaucracy," and C. J. Stillson giving a talk on "Impromptu Speech Construction." Toastmaster of the evening was Louis Taylor. Leslie Simm, table topic master presented the subject "The Civil Rights Bill as Proposed by President Truman." It brought forth some lively debate. Grammarian was Herman Hoch and evaluator, Ed Wright. Next week Ernest Bullock will be table topic chairman; Marion Pickel, grammarian; Leslie Sim, evaluator, and Hursel Snyder, J. C. Thompson and Ed Wright, speakers. S. Stephens, a new member, will present his autobiography. Robert H. "Hank" Allen was elected president of the Anaheim Toastmasters club during the election last week at La Palma Grill. New officers to serve with him during the ensuing six months were named also. POISONER FEEDS ANOTHER DOG A Dachshund belonging to William Steadley, 301 Adele street, came near death this weekend due to the vicious efforts of a dog poisoner, who has caused a wave of canine deaths in Anaheim for the past four weeks. The sick dog was saved through the efforts of Dr. R. L. Miller of the Anaheim Animal hospital, Robert Spencer, local pound master, stated. ATHLETIC COMMISSION GIVES DECISION The State Athletic Commission has announced that Joe Munoz, amateur boxer of Anaheim, was ill and unavailable due to being judged physically unfit. The commission also said Albert Tito Garcia, Santa Ana amateur, had been ordered reinstated following earlier suspension.
