DAY CAMP COMMITTEES
The most recent meeting of the Camp Flicker Day Camp committee was held at Irvine Park on the site to be used as headquarters for the camping group in July. Committee members are Mesdames Clyde Dawson, chair-ed that the Girl Scouts had completed a very successful cookie sale. She was presented with a large green lollipop, as a token of appreciation for her efforts as chairman of this sale. It was voted by the members that the money earned by the girls, for the leaders' association should be used to buy some camping equipment for the Girl Scouts, and also to help pay expense of transportation to Camp Conifer. Miss Dorothy Bowe, G. S. executive secretary, urged that girls send in their reservations for Camp Conifer as early as possible as there are only thirty-eight reservations left. Miss Bowe also told the leaders of the part that the Anaheim Girl Scouts were playing in the memorial services, both in Santa Ana, and at the Anaheim cemetery on Memorial Day.
At the conclusion of the reports, a quartet composed of leaders, sang their own version of "Tidy Ho" to their president, Mrs. J. C. Dolan, after which they presented her with a baby buggy, complete with lollipop baby, with a lace frilled bonnet, wrapped in a blue blanket, rattle in hand. Mrs. Dolan expressed her surprise and appreciation to the group for the gift, and thanked the leaders for their cooperation during a very successful year.
The park tables were beautifully decorated for the occasion with bowls of spring flowers. Individual flower filled May baskets were at each place.
