Final Services For County Revival
Finale of the great "Christ for Orange County" revival, which concludes next Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, is now being planned to feature outstanding lectures and special evangelist programs each night at 7:30 o'clock.
Seventy-five of the county leading churches will hold the united services Sunday afternoon February 16, at 2:30 o'clock, which time Dr. Appleman will release the stirring story of his life.
Tomorrow (Friday) night he sermon topic will be "The Question You Will Answer." The closing "Youth for Christ" night, Saturday, will feature a lecture concerning "The Second Coming of Christ, the Jews and the Gentiles."
A talent-packed program music is being featured each night. The famous Eureka Jubilee Singers, considered one of the musical highlights of the meeting thus far, will remain through Saturday's service, Music Chairman Rev. Carton Buck, disclosed. The popular Salvation Army Band in Los Angeles will be heard during the Sunday afternoon service. This well-known band participated in the Tournament of Rosie Parade on New Year's Day.

Feeling that development of the mind is as important as physical culture, the soldier of today spends considerable time in learning, and much of this time is utilized to make up educational deficiencies.Not only does he learn the rudiments of his craft, if military science may be called a craft, but he also may take courses in whatever subjects happen to interest him.
According to Lieutenant Hoover, officer in charge of the Education office at El Toro Marine Base, courses in everything from English I to Citrus Culture are available to Marines,and points out that half of the number of students at the night classes at Santa Ana Junior college are Marines from the El Toro base.Buses are well-known sand patters in the Tournament of Rose Parade on New Year's Day.

All members of Kappa Kappa Gamma, national fraternity for college women, are invited to a tea, Saturday, March 8, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at the home of Mrs. W. H. Harrison, 963 North Philadelphia street, Whittier. All Kappas in this area are urged to attend by Kappa Helen Thompson.

Buses are furnished to take the men to and from the night school.
If a man hasn't graduated from high school, says Lt. Hoover, he may take studies under the direction of the Education office and later take a special California State examination, which if passed entitles him to a diploma from a California high school. The exam may be retaken until the subjects have been mastered.
By phoning the Education office at the El Toro base, prospective enlistees may get all the information they require about colleges, universities, credits, entrance requirements, and quality of educational institutions and their professors, according to Lt. Hoover.
"We are going to expand the present facilities," he said, "and hope to have extra-curricular activities such as the Transport, which will take Marines on educational hops over Los Angeles and down the coast as far as San Diego on Saturday and Sunday afternoons."

Vegetable growers of the country gathered for a special session comparing notes on truck crops for the year, discussion of new angles on how to grow vegetables and latest information on pest control last night (Wednesday) 7:30 o'clock at the Farm Bureau of the vegetable department range. Walter R. Elliott, chair offices, 353 South Main street, the county bureau, presided. Agg Flies Back from Oklahoma
During back a shiny new job" from Oklahoma was placedia Spaniard, Jesus Quez Ramarez Gonzales of Fullerton Airport, who had Wednesday of last week, time to take care of a big ticket. He left for the Joseph Flores Death Thursday.
Joseph Flores, injured in an automobile crash on Manchester highway, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 13, as a result of injuries sustained. Born in Airzona 28 years ago, he had been a resident of Anaheim for the past nine pears.
Left to mourn his passing are his mother, Mrs. Sarah Flores of Norwalk; seven brothers, Sal, Leo, Frank, Adolph, Manuel and Benjamin, all of Anaheim, a half brother, Mike Sierras, also of Anaheim, and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Castro of Anaheim.
Recitation of Holy Rosary was held at Backs, Campbell and Kaubars mortuary Monday evening at 7:30 with mass at St. Boniface church Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment was in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
FULLERTON WOMAN AT COLLEGE OF FAIRS
Mrs. Minnie Y. Curtis of the Horse Show Exhibit Association of Fullerton, is one of the 400 representatives from 80 fairs in California, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Montanna and Canada who are attending the novel College of Fairs to improve management. A panel of 56 noted speakers from throughout the country will attend the sessions which opened Monday and will conclude Friday. The major five-year building program for 42 million dollars will be discussed as will the different phases of accounting, advertising, entertainment, centennials and dependence of California fairs on taxes from the racing industries.
FJC GIVES $283 TO 'MARCH OF DIMES'
FULLERTON JC TO STAGE "ARSENIC AND OLD LACE"
Dramatic March highlight will be the staging. of "Arsenic and Old Lace," famous Broadway hit, at Fullerton Junior college. Cast to enact Joseph Kesselring's story of two charming and innocent ladies who populate their cellar with the remains of socially and religiously "acceptable" roomers, and their unusual brothers and nephew has been chosen. An authentic duplication of the set used in the New York production will be under construction soon. The play has won wide acclaim in its stage and screen adaptations.
MR. AND MRS. J. L. GUSS MOVE TO SAN CLEMENTE
Residents of Anaheim far more than eighteen years, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Guss of West Broadway last week said goodbye to their many friends and neighbors and moved to San Clemente, where Mr. Guss is now in business. Joanne Guss, popular young daugher of the couple, and who is employed with the telephone company as supervisor, will continue to live in Anaheim.
