A cordial invitation is extended to friends to be present and register at the church also.
An annual event, registration day is held on the first Sunday in December as a method in inventorying the progress, interest and support of the church congregation. The idea was derived from the ancient Roman custom of enrolling for taxes and is associated with the Christmas story on the journey to Bethlehem of Joseph and Mary. As the theme is used at the White Temple Methodist church, it is a voluntary reaffirmation of members, Rev. Sears stated.

Air Forces Ask: 'What Happened To AAF Vets?'
Question of the week as submitted by the Army Air Forces: "What happened to 2,300,000 AAF Veterans?"
California Wing Headquarters of the Civil Air Patrol, in cooperation with a nation-wide drive to list the names and present addresses of all veterans of the Army Air Forces, sent a copy of a letter written by General Carl Spaatz, commanding general of the AAF, addressed to all veterans of the AAF asking them to fill out cards available at local post offices and other points of distribution and from units of the Civil Air Patrol and the Boy Scouts of America.
The main purpose of the campaign, which closes Sunday, December 1, is to bring up to date the Air Forces' roster of veterans at the request of the Air Defense Command, and to provide a means of quick communication between AAF headquarters and wartime personnel.
General Spaatz declared that he wants former members to feel that they are still "on the team" and that through this drive, the names and addresses of the veterans will be made available to headquarters, providing an efficient means for notifying former AAF men and women of the activities in which the air forces are now participating, the needs to carry out the programs of research and development and the aims for the air reserve and air national guard.

When H₂O-a lot-and hot
Makes life a whole lot brighter
AVERAGE FAMILIES call for hot water 140 times a day! It takes a lot for bathing, shaving, dishwashing, household cleaning, laundering and general freshening up. And when you get that automatic dishwasher and automatic washer you've got your eyes on... it will take a whole lot more!
With an adequately sized automatic gas water heater, you'll have all the hot water you need when you need it. Never a worry about running short. It saves you money, too. For a water heater that's really large enough won't be "overworked"; will actually last longer.
Flame-perfect gas water heating, so speedy, so dependable, is amazingly low in cost. See your dealer or merchant plumber – make sure your home is hot-water-happy.
