WOMEN'S ACTIVITIES Phone 2206 ROMMEL-DEVERELL RITES SUNDAY, TWO RECEPTIONS FOLLOW CEREMONY With golden candelight glow reflecting their radiantly happy faces, Miss Corinne Rommel, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter M. Rommel, native of Anaheim, became the bride of Alexander Deverell of 216½ North Philadelphia street, Sunday evening at 7 o'clock, solemnized in the inner chapel of Capilla de San Antonio, with 100 immediate relatives and close friends witnessing the single-ring ceremony. Before an all-white altar arrangement of gladiol, stocks and snap-magnons in tall white baskets blending with cathedral canopies, young couple plunged their trousers with the Rev. A. G. Bennett of this city, long-time close friend of the bride's family, reading the marriage vows. The bride, given in marriage by her father, carried a white prayer book, belonging to her grandfather, graced with one single white orchid, tied by satin streamers and bouvardia, and wore as sentimental ornamentation, a garnet pin in a precious setting, borrowed from her great grandmother. Wisp of a white-flowered hat sprinkled with charteuse ribbons and fragile veining, enhanced her brown-haired loveliness, effecting a fitting contrast to her two-piece wool wedding costume of delphinium blue with navy accessories. Betty Jeanne Hanson, her only attendant, wore a dusty rose wool dress with matching hat, black accessories and carried a shower bouquet of talisman roses. Best man was Sgt. Roy William Trapp with George Ausburn and Wayne Held, ushers. Favorite musical selections of the young couple, "Always" and "Because," were sung by Mrs. Rather's Night Observed by Denj Franklin P.-T. Mrs. Rommel wore soft grey wool with navy accessories and talisman rose bud corsage with Mrs. Wood in navy blue dress, harmonizing accessories and pink carnation corsage. Mrs. George Ausburn presided at the punch bowl with Mrs. Woods at the guest bowl.
