Staged before the Ebell tree, truly an impressive pinnacle of timeless and transluscent blue balls, "Christmas of 1945" was excellently interpreted by Beatrice Crall, noted musical narrator from Beverly Hills, who also plays the harp among her versatile talents. Her accompanists, Marguerite Schwinger, piano solo arranger of the musical background for the ensemble, who has a studio of music in Beverly Hills, and Eunice Wennermark, violin. This talented violinist plays a most cherished instrument, the Storioni, 1795, one of the last of the Cremona makers, which once belonged to Hubay, famous Hungarian violinist composer.
Miss Wennermark sits the first stand on the John Charles Thomas radio program with Victor Young's orchestra, plays on the new Red Skelton radio show, has appeared in the Hollywood bowl for numerous performances, recently returned from an extensive tour covering all the states and has been the musical director for station KMPC as violinist-conductor of the "Symphonettes."
This ensemble presentation was arranged through the courtesy and kindness of Pearl Aiken-Smith, dean and head of the speech department at the University of Southern California.
Encore after encore greeted these marvelous artists with Miss Crall exclaiming the delicious tea which followed a most welcome "pick-up."
Laurels are due the social committee headed by Mrs. Paul Demaree, chairman and Mrs. Edward Koontz, co-chairman, for this sparkling entertainment, the delightfully appointed tea table, and such excellent petit pastries and sandwiches, yummm...the theme—"White Christmas"—effectively depicted throughout the clubrooms...litting medleys of carols played by Mrs. Donald Rees, preceeding the program and during the tea hour. Appreciation was expressed by Mrs. J. Schumacher to all who brought jams and jellies for distribution among patients of the Orange county hos-

Traditional wedding marches were played by Miss Betty Jean Hansen. She also accompanied Mrs. Ethel Hempshall who sang "O Promise Me." Twelve close friends and members of the immediate families witnessed the wedding rites and enjoyed a delicious chicken dinner, served by Mrs. Kruse, gowned in black with camelia corsage.
Sentiment in decoration of the three tiered wedding cake, dates back to a former marriage—that of Mrs. Kruse, who had cherished and preserved her own exquisite cake decorations, bringing them "forth" to be used on this, her niece's great day.
Following a brief honeymoon at the Biltmore hotel, Los Angeles, the happy couple plan to return for duty with expectations of their discharges respectively. The bride, having seen 22 months of service, is stationed at San Francisco; the groom, recently returning from 42 months overseas, is attached to Camp Beal. Both are natives of Nebraska and plan to make their future home there.
Laural and Hardy on skating Cab Calloway, and his boogie wiggie, with Toby the Clown and unique opera number were among the outstanding achievements performed by Miss Florence Hilton new Girl Scout executive secretary with the "able-bodied" assnance of her well known "Nikah Puppeteers" at the Yule meeting of the Anaheim Girl Scout council in the Fremont school cafeteria Monday evening, Dec.
