Their objective was the tremendous sum of $33,000—the amount necessary to allow Anaheim to fulfill its obligations to our boys, and other people in foreign lands and our own beneficial organization here at home. The war is over but the suffering is NOT. Our nation is asked to give so that the suffering of our allies can be alleviated—as well as our Red Cross, our hospitals and our relief work at home. Give all you can—in gratitude to those who fought—in memory of those who died—in thanks for victory. We know that the citizens of Anaheim will welcome the calls being made by these people, all of whom are taking time from their jobs or business or homes, to insure the success of this drive. We owe these workers a real debt of gratitude for the services that they are rendering to our people—both at home and abroad. Let us give them our best in both moral and financial support..
