Regular Meeting Of WRC Tuesday
Routine business was the order of the day at the meeting of the A. B. Paul Woman's Relief Corps on Tuesday when the group met at the White Temple Bungalow. Presiding was the president, Mrs. Mary Swindler, who has recently returned to her home after spending several weeks up north.
During the reports of the committee chairmen, a total of three dollars was given to child welfare, four dollars to relief, fifteen calls were made by members with twenty-nine bouquets being sent to friends and deceased. A total of 430 miles in rides to service men was also reported with four hours given to U. S. O. work.
The members are working on hospital supplies as they have done during the several years of war, and will continue their work until such time when these supplies are no longer needed.
B.-P. W. Club Makes Plans for District Meeting in October
Plans were discussed and various phases of the proposed annual southern district meeting to be held in Anaheim at the Elks club on Oct. 20 and 21, were worked out at the opening meeting for the new working year of the Business and Professional Women's club on Wednesday evening of last week when members met at the home of Mrs. Eva Boyd at 129 South Olive street. The local club will have charge of dinner and breakfast reservations as well as overnight housing for out-of-town guests.
A round table discussion and plans were also made for the fall meetings of the club.

Club members were reminded of their gifts to be sent to servicemen on the high seas on Christmas. They were urged to begin assembling their gifts, wrappings and trimmings and get their packages ready for mailing.
Young Adult Class To Have Potluck Dinner Fri. Evening
The young adult class of the White Temple Methodist church will be hosts on Friday evening to a potluck dinner at the church at 7 o'clock.
An outstanding speaker, Rev. Ellis, has been secured, who understands the problems of younger people and has been most successful in his own church, the North Glendale Methodist church, with this work. His wife is a very talented musician.
Mrs. Betty Rees will have charge of the musical portion of the evening. The Prospectors' class have charge of the dinner arrangements. The potluck is open to all members of the young adult class and friends.
Women's Club Has Successful Meet At Seal Beach Friday
The Orange County Board of the California Federation of Women's Clubs met at Seal Beach Sept. 14, with county president, Mrs. Arthur May, presiding.
Highlighting the meeting was Mrs. C. H. O'Neal, Pasadena, and state chairman of women's recruiting, who spoke on her work. Mrs. Edith Cloyes of Santa Ana, county literary chairman and district dramatic chairman, reviewed various recent books.

Young People of Evangelical Church Enjoy Beach Party
The Youth Fellowship of Evangelical church enjoy beach party Monday night at Balboa home of Miss Chris Fischer. Twenty-two men and their guests attended the weinie roast and picnic. Fo ing dinner, the party spent evening at Balboa's fun zone.

Tyron-Woodruff Rites Celebrated Fullerton Church
Miss Helen Tyron and Sgt. Wesley D. Woodruff of Fullerton were united in marriage in the First Christian church of Fullerton last Saturday night.
Rev. Frank Purnell officiated at the ceremony, with only immediate relatives and close friends witnessing the rites.
The bride, given away by her father, C. A. Tyron, Santa Monica, was lovely in satin and marquisette, her veil attached by a lace juliet cap with clusters of orange blossoms on either side. She carried a white Bible with a single white orchid, tied with sation interknotted with stephanotis.
She was attended by Miss Julia Shaffer, who wore blue and carried pink carnations. Best man was Warren Woodruff, the bridegroom's brother.
The reception was held in the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. H. K. Smith, at 334 West Whiting avenue, in Fullerton.
The bride is a graduate of Anaheim High school and has been employed at MGM studios and more recently at the Anaheim Fox Theater. Sgt. Woodruff was graduated from Huntington Beach High school and has been overseas twenty-three months. Since he will receive his discharge in a very short time, the couple will not honeymoon until then.

Newlyweds Honored With Dinner Party
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Meierhoff were hosts recently at a dinner honoring their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hazen, at St. Paul's Lutheran church social hall. The hall was decorated with baskets of autumn flowers, the tables being set with attractive arrangements of fall flowers and slim white tapers.
At the table where the bridal party was seated was a wedding cake topped with the traditional miniature bride and groom. Included in this group were Mr. and Mrs. Hazen, Mrs. Verna Reed, Miss Carolyn Meierhoff and Robert Driesher; the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Meierhoff; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Guenther, Sr.; Mrs. Herman Meierhoff, Rev. H. H. Wiechmann and Mrs. Robert Dresher.
The dinner was prepared by Mrs. August Heinemann, Mrs. Rude Heman, and Mrs. Clifford Hammond. Serving were Mrs. George Cudworth and Misses Darlene Meierhoff, Marcine Otte, Elaine Liermann, and Geraldine Hammond.
Following the dinner, Rev. Wiechmann presented a brief sermonette, and Miss Darlene Meierhoff played the piano.
Other guests were Messrs. and Mesdames Claud Otte, Ted Meiger, A. W. Schmid, Walter Otte, Otto Guenther, Edward Guenther, Fred Guenther, Jr., Ray Meierhoff, Clifford Hammond, Bill Hall, William Heman, George Cudworth, Lawrence Heinemann, August Heinemann, and their families; Mrs. Mary Brockman, Misses Shirley Kyle and Yvonne Peters.
