According to John's Gospel Jesus' disciples "went over the sea toward Capernaum... And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew. So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship; and they were afraid. But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid. Then they willingly received him into the ship; and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went." Matthew relates, "And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them." "Mind's control over the universe, including man, is no longer an open question, but is demonstrable Science," writes Mary Baker Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." She continues, "Jesus illustrated the divine Principle and the power of immortal Mind by healing sickness and sin and destroying the foundations of death." Lt. Earl Warren signing an omnibus bill providing salary increases in 48 of the state's 57 counties. Their salaries will be increased $2,000 a year.
