LARGE AUDIENCE ATTENDS BEAUTIFUL PRE-EASTER BIBLE SECTION PROGRAM
The beauty, faith, humility and great courage of the women of the Old and New Testaments was beautifully portrayed in a series of living pictures Monday afternoon when a pre-Easter program was movingly given by members of the Bible section to a large audience of members and guests that gathered at the Ebell clubhouse.
Mrs. Bertha Riggs, as commentator, read the moving story of each of the characters portrayed and brought out that the modern day woman has not changed since Biblical times as she still has the same graces and the same faults that she inherited from Eve, the mother of all mankind.
The first picture shown was that of Sarah, the wife of Abraham, and Mrs. Fackiner ably depicted her humble obedience, her pride and intelligence.
Each of the 10 women of the Old Testament was vividly enacted and as the pictures were shown Betty Ree Fackiner played soft piano accompaniments that further enhanced the beautiful simplicity of the living pictures.
The women in the New Testament who were present at three great moments in Jesus' life were his mother, Mary; Claudia, wife of Pontius Pilate, who showed her deep faith at the time Jesus was on trial for his life and the sinner, Mary Magdelene, who mourned at his sepulchre and who so splendid work "behind the scenes."
The lace covered tea table was attractively centered with delicate, ornamental peach blossoms and lighted tapers. Mrs. John Wilson and Mrs. Paul Demaree presided at the tea urns. On the mantle and before the stage were beautiful arrangements of Easter calla lilies.

These roles were dramatically played by Mrs. Al Raymond, Mrs. Holly Markle and Mrs. Brown.
