Huge Surgical Dressing Quota To be Filled Soon The casualty lists are getting longer each day and that means that there is more work than ever to be done by the surgical dressings department of the Red Cross and so a part of the Big War Effort reaches down into the smaller homes of each little town in the nation and becomes a matter of work on the part of each individual. Within the next thirty days Anaheim must make and send away 57,000 surgical dressings or 1,900 each day. "It means," Mrs. H. G. Schmelzer said, "that the few women who have carried on so faithfully for so long need help to meet this big quota." She went on to point out that Anaheim has sent many hundreds of its sons to war, but that only a small percentage of local women have contributed to this most essential work. "It could be your son as easily as your neighbor's who will sometime be in desperate need of a clean, new dressing. Please come and help."
