REPUBLICAN WOMEN HEAR FACTS AS TOLD BY SPEAKER AT MEETING FRIDAY
At the meeting of the Anaheim Republican Women's club held at the Parker House Cafe banquet room last Friday, Attorney Forgy of Santa Ana, gave hard, cold facts taken from talks by prominent Democratic leaders including the President of the United States.
A luncheon preceded the meeting and during which time Ann O'Brien, county council president, asked that all workers in the precinct urgently put forth every effort in precinct work in order that a majority might be reached in the forthcoming election.
Announcement of a Republican Women's tea in the home of Mrs. Carl Seamans, Yorba Linda, on October 20 was made by Mrs. Carson Roberts, president of that club.
During the business session a discussion on amendments was held.
In the principal talk of the meeting, Attorney Forgy quoted quite extensively from Pettingill's book, "For Americans Only." Mr. Pettingill is a former Democratic leader and has incorporated within the covers of his book, excerpts from talks given by the leading politicians of this country. He showed wherein the administration leaders and advisers are pointing toward a government controlled country, similar to that of Russia under he communistic plan and the leadership of Germany under Hitler.
in Germany insofar as the government is trying to dictate to the people of his nation, even to his savings of the widows, families, persons will be worthless if future plans are allowed to be carried out. As in the past, states Mr. Forgy, the enactment of these changes as stated in Pettingill's book, will be gradual and bloodless rather than sudden and horrible and the masses of the people will hardly realize what has happened.
Other prominent members of the clubs over the county who were present were Mrs. Mildred Ridenour, president of the Huntington Beach club; Mrs. J. F. Mueller, Orange, vice-president of the county council; Mrs. May Overby, Huntington Beach, chairman of the legislation; Mrs. W. O. Broady, Garden Grove, council secretary; Mrs. F. M. Merrell of Huntington Beach; Mrs. E. P. Lutz, Garden Grove president; Mrs. Bert Shaw, Yorba Linda, council press chairman; Mrs. Robert Williams, San Clemente, and Mrs. Eva Boyd, council treasurer.
