She declared everyone, regardless of station in life, accorded the same treatment at the county hospital where all infantile patients are taken for medical attention. Critchfield of 1211 East Santa Ana street, Anaheim, has been admitted to the membership of the Liars club formed several years ago by a national sports magazine, and organized primarily for the fun that can be derived from the tall tales that can be concocted by the members. Mr. Critchfield is a carpenter-foreman, and has been a resident of this city for the past six years. The story that won him a membership was indeed a tall one. It concerned the story of a deer that was killed when it walked into the fender of his car as his car was rolling down a mountainside and at the time an earthquake cleared the mountain road of sliding rocks. ZULEIKA E.KELLY, Plaintiff, vs. LOUIS CARL KELLY, Defendant CHRISTIAN SCIENCE "A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold." This verse from Proverbs will be the Golden Text in the Sunday Lesson-Sermon on "Substance" in all branches of the Mother church, the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston. In Proverbs, Solomon writes, "Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice? . . . I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures." Paul reminded the Corinthians that "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." Mary Baker Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures:" "In Christian Science, substance is understood to be Spirit, while the opponents of Christian Science believe substance to be matter." "Christianity causes men to turn naturally from matter to Spirit, as the flower turns from darkness to light. Man then appropriates those things which 'eye hath not seen nor ear heard'."
