Edith Krick, Long Time Resident, Dies Funeral Monday Edith May Kirck, a resident of Anaheim for the past forty-three years, passed away early Friday morning at her home at 227 North Clementine street, after an extended illness. She was a native of Ontario, Canada and came to Placentia forty-nine years ago moving to this city six years later. Survivors are her husband, P. H. Kirck of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Grace E. Norrish of Los Angeles and Alice M. Beckett of Anaheim and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from the Hilgenfeld chapel Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Thomas L. Burden, pastor of the White Temple Methodist Church of which she was a member, officiated and burial was in the family plot in Fairhaven cemetery. Orange County Pioneer Passes Herman Meierhoff, 74 years old, passed away Monday at his home on Olive-Anaheim boulevard near Olive. He was a pioneer resident of Orange county having lived here for thirty-five years. He was a native of Illinois. He leaves as his survivors his wife, Mrs. Alvina Meierhoff of the home; three sons, Edward, Herbert and Raymond, all of Olive; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Liermann of Orange and Mrs. Walter Otte of Olive; ten grandchildren and two brothers, both of Illinois. Funeral services were conducted today (Thursday) at 2:30 p.m. and interment in the St. John's Lutheran cemetery. Rites Held For Fullerton City Clerk; Died Monday Funeral rites for Fred C. Hezmalhalch, 69, city clerk of Fullertin for 28 years, were held Wednesday afternoon in the McAulay and Suters mortuary. He passed away at his home in Fullerton early Monday following an extended illness. Mr. Hezmalhalch had been a resident of Fullerton for 35 years and prior to that time was a resident of Los Angeles. He was well known in musical circles, having been choir director and tenor soloist in the Presbyterian Church for many years. He leaves as his survivors his wife, three daughters and three sons. Adding sherbert or chilled canned fruits to the afternoon glass of orange juice makes a delicious party drink, suggests the Sunkist Kitchen. FIVE YOUTHS RECEIVE JAIL SENTENCES Five of the eighteen youths recently arrested for local disturbances received six months jail sentences for tampering with an automobile. All five were of Mexican extraction. They caused quite a lot of disturbance in Anaheim and Fullerton a week ago when they rode through the streets yelling and throwing stones at persons and buildings. Anaheim Gazette, since 1870.
