Let's Back up the Governor by Keeping
Court Bench
Let's Back up the Governor by Keeping Him There!
The untimely demise of the Honorable G. K. Scovel necessitated the Governor appointing a successor to that brilliant and beloved jurist. After very carefully examining the qualifications and background of every available man in Orange County, Governor Warren submitted the name of Raymond Thompson to the Board of Governors of the California State Bar for their approval. They agreed in fact that Raymond Thompson was the man for the Job, and Governor Warren appointed him.
Orange County citizens now have seen him in action on the Superior Court bench, acting without fear or favor, yet with kindness, courtesy and understanding and with full knowledge of Orange County conditions.
On May 16th at the polls, Orange County Voters, will be given an opportunity to register their confidence in Governor Warren's selection by Voting to—

Craemer sentiment has been mounting steadily," said Frank C. Drumm of Santa Ana, prominent attorney and chairman of the Orange County Craemer committee. "The above action by the mayors of Orange county is certainly a grand gesture and one which I know Justus Craemer will appreciate deeply for he does especially value the friendship of his Orange county constituents. From all over the southland reports coming in attest to Craemer's strength. The country press has been doing a grand job. The readers of these papers know their publihsers personally and have faith in their utterances. When these country editors state that Justus Craemer is the best qualified candidate, that statement carries weight. It is this basic underlying strength, which no other candidate can remotely approach, that we are confident will carry Craemer through to victory."
